BAT

Bat is 4 year old black AQHA registered gelding. 14.1 hands tall. He has been in our program for over a year and has came along very nice. A very kind disposition. He has a very smooth way of traveling and one of the most comfortable slow lopes anyone could ask for. He has been used to assist in the handling and breaking of other c**ts such as gathering, catching and ponying. He has tracked a calf sled extensively and has a very nice stop. All has been done at a slower pace for a young horse to comprehend. This horse is an excellent prospect to continue on in the breakaway, take to the barrel pattern, or make into a goat tying horse. Although he has a great handle and has been used, he does exhibit some young horse tendencies but does not do anything dangerous. He stands to be trimmed and is ready for shoes any time. ✨Slick✨

Meet “Slick” this fella is in on consignment and we consider ourselves pretty lucky to have him with us! Slick is 17 years young, so don’t let his age fool you, this guys has MANY great years left to give! He is as easy going as they come and he has done just about everything in his lifetime. From barrels and poles to ranch cutting, sorting, trail riding and even a few outings with the Rolling Rock Hunt Club, and did we mention he is a TREMENDOUS turn back horse? Slick is all that and a bag of chip when it comes to the true definition of an all-around horse.

Slick is incredibly kind and wants nothing more than to please. He is fantastic with other horses and is tidy in a stall. He currently has no maintenance and is as simplistic as you could ask for when it comes to getting shoed.

He baths, loads, stands for the vet and farrier. He has no buck, no rear and no bolt. However, he loves cattle and can be slightly cow fresh. He does nothing wrong or dangerous, he is simply athletic and it shows! What can we say, he is the ultimate good boy!

It was a fine day to do some light ranching! This 4 year old c**t has truly stepped up to the plate lately when it comes to doing big boy things!

Bat is truly a standout that is coming into his own and only going to get better with time!

☀️Spring Break is Over☀️

Spring break is over for the Colts and we are back at it!

This is Bats first ride back in a month and we’d say he’s riiiiiight on track! What a cool long 3 year-old! Stay tuned for more Bat updates in the near future and official confirmation photos!

Horses turned out on fresh green pastures!

We may have been a bit damp the last few weeks but it was dang sure worth if for all that nice green grass!

Now to add a touch of sunshine and off to the races for hay season☀️

‼️IMPORTANT‼️

Wet saddle pads and plenty of miles are important BUT you know what’s more important? VET CARE!

No one can out train pain, nor should they. At RPH we are abundantly lucky to have an excellent team of vets, farriers, chiropractor, equine dentist and trainers in place to ensure your horse is their healthiest!

Ps - don’t forget to thank your vet, trainer, etc…….you have no idea who just pulled an all nighter but still showed up to help you and your horse(s).
