WAHS is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, no-kill animal shelter organization located in Winona, MN. We do not receive any state or federal funding - so our operations are largely made possible through generous contributions, fundraising, and adoption/surrender fees! We are a small but bustling humane society with a passion for helping every animal that we can! Our facility offers open bay housing for cats,

medical treatment rooms, large & small dog kennels, outdoor runs, and a walking trail for dogs. Our organization operates on an appointment-only basis for adoptions, animal visits, and volunteering opportunities. To learn more about our adoption processes for cats & dogs, visit winonahumane.org/adopt. Adoption applications must be submitted prior to adoption visits. If you're a good fit for an animal, we'll contact you to set up an appointment! Building Hours (by appointment):
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday - 12:00pm to 5:00pm
Saturday - 10:00am to 2:00pm
Sunday and Monday - closed

Monkey was an extra popular guy after his introduction to the online shelter following! He grabbed the attention of so many people, one of which ended up being his best fit family 🥹 Since going home in July, Monkey quickly settled in and is so very loved.
