Shifts in dog training often follow that of the human world. Out with the old and outdated. In with the new, science based methodology.

Imagination is encouraged. Try things, just try them safely. Explore life together as a team, not as a drill sergeant constantly finding fault.

Rules and boundaries? Absolutely. Dogs and children both thrive on schedules and knowing what to expect.

Blind obedience with no creativity? That's a pass from us. Owning a dog is a team sport. Let's play.

One session left for the summer!

We can't believe it either, we only have one session left for summer 2024... And it's filling!

Beginning August 26th your dog could spend five weeks of Tuesday's and Thursdays at the best place in town!

🐾Puppies can learn all the new cues they'll need to be successful adults.

🐾Energetic adolescents can burn off some steam with structured play and learning.

🐾Therapy Dog, Canine Good Citizen, and trick dog titles can be worked towards.

We are so thankful to have a wonderful relationship with Because You Care, Inc.!

You have probably heard the saying, "a tired dog is a good dog".

At Because You Care, Inc., we like to remind adopters that "a trained dog is a good dog". We make sure that every family has the resources to work through behavioral challenges with their new dog. It can take several months to build a bond and be able to connect in a way that works for both you and your companion.

Our partnership with Scholars in Collars Academy has allowed us to prepare dogs before adoption and continue to work with them after. Educating and improving the quality of life for shelter dogs is our passion. Kingston, Bentley, Ziggy, Skye, Fiona, Theodore, Elizabeth, Charles, Kevin, Brittany, Koda, Jasper, Brody, Ori, and Buddy started their day training sessions today!

Such a wonderful group of puppies, seasoned pros and everything in between. They will spend the next five weeks with our trainers every Tuesday and Thursday learning new skills, making friends, testing the new skills around Erie, and having the most fun at summer camp while they do it!
