Pupdate: Pumpkin’s Culinary Antics & Mom Life Madness 🐾

Good morning from the homestead! Our lovely mama Pumpkin and her adorable new babies are doing well. Pumpkin's been a tad antsy, apparently, she’s decided that dry kibble is a no-go when she’s got a nursery full of pups. So guess what? We're back to the gourmet raw food buffet!

We’ve shifted her menu to a fresh, hearty raw diet, think of it as Pumpkin’s post-partum spa treatment. She’s getting all the good stuff: raw meat, veggies, organ meats, and even those calcium-packed eggshells to keep her feeling like a supermom. Basically, she’s dining like a queen so she can keep those babies chubby and happy.

And me? Well, I spent half the morning prepping for meetings that are actually... next week. Oops! Just a sign that I'm running on fumes and a whole lot of puppy love. If anyone wants to send a little coffee my way, I’m not saying no! ☕😉

PUPDATE FROM THE WHELPING ROOM. 🎃🍂 Pumpkin really leaned into the fall theme this year and blessed us with our very own pumpkin patch! Instead of a box of chocolates, we’ve got a whole pan of warm cinnamon rolls—sables, reds, and creamy swirls all snuggled up just in time for the season. 🐾✨

For those who joined in the guessing game… I was off 🤣 I thought she’d have 8 or 9, but Mama Pumpkin delivered 7 beautiful babies total. 💕 Sadly, one little angel didn’t make it, which is never easy, but the rest are here strong, sweet, and already stealing our hearts.

Pumpkin is being the best mama, and we can’t wait to share more pumpkin-spice-puppy goodness as they grow. It’s going to be a harvest full of snuggles, happy tails, and a whole lot of cuteness. 🍁🐶 Ps once we catch a few zzzz we will take proper individual photos for everyone! ☺️🫶

We’ve been on puppy watch all night long, and still no active pushing yet. 🐾 I’m curled up in the whelping box with Pumpkin right now, keeping her calm while we wait on these babies to make their grand entrance. Mama is a little stressed, but we can still feel those wiggles in her belly, and that’s reassuring. 💕

This morning was an early one... saw my hubs off to work, fed the kids, knocked out homeschool lessons with Livi, and now it’s just me and Pumpkin holding down the fort in the barn. She may not get the under-the-bed home birth she wanted (sorry girl 😂), but we’ve got her set up in a clean, safe whelping box with cameras, supplies, and our vet on speed dial just in case.

We’re pretty sure this is going to be her biggest litter yet (she’s had six before, so what’s a couple more, right?). Still, every delivery is different, so we’d love your prayers for a smooth labor and healthy pups. 🙏

Stay tuned, it won’t be long now before we can finally share all the puppy snuggles with y’all! 💖🐶
