🍯🐝 Honey, We Did It! 🐝🍯
We finally got our hands on the right refractometer (after one false start 🙃), and we were able to check the moisture content of our honey—and y’all, it came in at a perfect 15%! That’s beekeeper gold right there.
We bottled up a few jars, and honestly… they’re so dang pretty they deserve their own photo shoot. Not sure we want to part with any since our harvest was small this round, but we may gift a few to close friends and family who’ve been sweet to us 🥰
That said, let this be a PSA to all the fellas out there:
If you think finding yourself a low-maintenance farm girl who doesn’t blow money on hair, nails, or Sephora runs means you’re saving money—SURPRISE! You’re not. She’s out here spending it on bees, brood boxes, queens, suits, extractors, and gadgets you can’t even pronounce. This beekeeping hobby? Let’s just say it’s got champagne taste on a hive budget 😂
We may not be selling this batch, but we're learning, we’re growing, and most importantly—we're loving every bit of this sticky, sweet journey.🐝
