Little Flock Homestead Chronicling the life of an urban homesteader newbie A year ago I started toying with the idea of raising chickens in our backyard.

I've been around farm animals for many years, but living in an urban setting has limited by dreams of having my own farm, with my animals right outside my back door. Last summer I decided to go for it and started my journey as newbie chicken tender. Little Flock Farm was born in the summer of 2022 and is my opportunity to share the joys of animal keeping with my children. Our henhouse residents provide us with love, laughs and eggs! Our FB page is a way to document our journey in urban chicken keeping and to share what we've learned with other aspiring chicken keeping families.
