The Zen Way is a state of being. Being in the now. I bring this to you in a form of instructions that breaks down the science and understanding of dogs. I take training to an entire new level! ping you shop for the best stuff, we work hands on together to build a long lasting bond with you, the family, and your new pet. There are several training packages available.


• Basic Obedience is 4 one hour sessions. You will learn to build listening skills, attention skills, impulse control, leash walking, recall and off leash training and much more. These classes typically run once a week for one hour each session. $450

• Advanced training is 4 one hour sessions learning how to put all your skills together. Master the art of loose leash walking and heel, supervised separation, and much more for $450. In advanced training you will also have the option to meet in dog approved public places!

I concluded my day with a session with Koa and her family. Koa, a rescue dog, is 8 months old and was found as a stray in the southern region. Due to the lack of information about her background, we are proceeding with caution. As Koa is apprehensive about her surroundings, clear and consistent communication is crucial. To facilitate her adjustment, her family has established greeting rituals at home and taken her on various outings to broaden her exposure to the world. She has demonstrated significant improvement in not becoming immobile during walks. Today was her inaugural visit to my residence, where we concentrated on refining her leash handling skills. Her handlers are doing an outstanding job with her!

‼️‼️‼️‼️ STOP SCROLLING‼️‼️‼️‼️

In case you missed our announcement back in May, all animals at the shelter who have resided with us for over 3 months have WAIVED adoption fees!

That means the animals are FREE. We don't like to throw that word around, as it's not a place to start with your decision to bring a new animal home...however, these guys and gals have been sitting in a shelter for far too long!

We are doing this in an effort to help find some of our loving long-term animals the right home. Many of our long-term residents can not go into homes with small children or other animals due to the length of their stay which ultimately makes it harder to place them, and even still we have wonderful pet-friendly/child-friendly dogs still being overlooked. 😔

✅️Approved applications are still required to adopt or foster
✅️We have started our foster program back up!
✅️Please contact your veterinarian prior to applying and give permission to speak with us (speeds up the process)

Following an in-home visit with Tiger, an 11-year-old senior dog rescued from True Friends Animal Welfare Center, it became apparent that she has significant trust issues with new individuals entering her home. Furthermore, Tiger's lack of teeth necessitates a soft food diet. Through regular visits, I have developed a rapport with Tiger and her handler, observing a notable decrease in her panic attacks, which ceased in April. As she has begun to trust her handler and acknowledging their home as her forever residence, it is essential that we proceed with caution, considering her age and health concerns. Today Tiger took soft treats from my hand and offered me several sits! I am looking forward to our next visit!

I recently conducted another session with Bailey, who is nearing five months of age. We have been focusing on developing our relationship, and are gradually introducing basic training exercises and teaching her new skills. As I embark on our evening walk, I am savoring the fleeting daylight. The camera lens makes the surroundings appear brighter than they are in reality. The atmosphere is peaceful, even at nighttime. Nonetheless, there is still a great deal to observe. It is undoubtedly a distinctive ambiance, and I recommend experiencing it with any dog.

Our household, including Willow, has experienced an unusually lengthy week last week. At times, even our rest days can be filled with activity. As such, it is essential to seize moments like these. By taking care of our mental and physical health, we become more resilient in the face of life's obstacles. The next few weeks, leading into September, will be hectic for both of us, marked by numerous transitions, support for multiple families, and progress toward my goals.

I am thrilled to have had three consecutive sign-ups today. It's wonderful to see people taking advantage of my buy one get one single session offer. I have also scheduled several meet and greet consultations. My schedule is filling up quickly, and I am grateful for the opportunity to work with new clients.
