Darling Sky is a 4 year old, 44 lb, absolute sweetheart through and through, so gentle, loving, and always ready to make a new friend. We have all fallen hard for this gentle lady, and know she is going to find her people, because she really is so special! She's easy to leash, walks calmly, and comes when called with a happy tail wag, and big smile! Sky has excellent manners, takes treats gently, and truly shines when it's time for affection. She soaks up the love by leaning in close for pets and melts into your side with her soft, trusting nature. With her calm personality and affectionate heart, Sky would make a wonderful family dog for anyone looking for a loyal and loving best friend.
*Sky has been cat tested with multiple cats, and she was incredible! She is perfect with other dogs as well, so would be happy with other animals in the home.

This cutie patootie is Ivy! Ivy just finished her quarantine and is ready for her forever home.

Beautiful Blue is a charming 8-year-old gentle giant(78 lbs)who's looking for a family. This laid-back pup seems to enjoy socializing with other dogs in a calm and friendly manner. Blue may be a bit shy at first, but he often warms up and gives sweet greetings to his canine friends. He loves car rides, walks like a pro on leash, loves his toys, likes meeting new people out and about, is fully potty trained, and practically writhes with excitement when you offer snuggles and belly rubs!
Blue clearly adores kids, and would love a family who has kids who he can run, lounge, and spend his days loving❤️
His foster has four cats, and he continues on with his life paying them absolutely no mind!

Sweet as pie, 8 year old Boston Terrier, Velma is in Maine and looking for her forever home! Velma is a social butterfly and her lil tail never stops wagging🥹she’s easy peasy with other dogs and cats, is house trained, crate trained, happily takes treats gently, and loves loves her snuggles!
At 8 years old, her back legs are a little wobbly sometimes, and will need to be carried down the stairs,, and would benefit with a little ramp to help her up and down to the couch or your bed. Meet Dakota, or maybe he should be renamed Happy🤣because this smiley fellow really personifies Happy! While Dakota is a bit chonky(said with enormous love) this sweetie doesn’t let it stop him from playing like a puppy with squeaky toys, or running around with other dogs! Dakota is so happy to be in Maine, and is so hopeful his people will see him and fall in love with his sweet face! He walks great on leash, loves kitties, loves other dogs, and lovesss his food! He hopes whoever adopts him still gives him his favorite treat of Greek yogurt as a food topper, because boy it makes him happy! He would greatly benefit regular walks to help him get to healthy weight for his joints. At 3 years old, he’s very ready for his dream of a forever home, to come true! Meet our long haired tank of love and happiness, 2 year old Obi Wan🥹
This sweetheart, after enduring what no soul should endure, healed himself, made it to Maine, and now is full body wiggling himself into all our hearts❤️
Obi is clearly fantastic with other dogs, was cat tested yesterday with multiple cats and did fabulously!
He’s waiting so patiently for someone to see him, and give him a warm lap to curl up in! If you wanna meet this sweet/goofy guy, send in your application ASAP!

After an exciting arrival of dogs last night, we are gearing up for our adoption event today at Definitive Brewing Company from 12:00-4:00!
We will have four incredible dogs to meet and fall in love with, a raffle basket with awesome goodies inside, Minnis Sanctuary merchandise, of course the delicious Definitive beer, pictures of our dogs and puppies who are not quite ready for adoption, but will be soon! And all of us to meet you and get you excited about animal rescue! Come see us, whether you’re interested in fostering, adoption, or volunteering, we’d love to meet you!
*For those interested in Johnny, he will not arrive at the event until around 2:30!!*

Margo has made her way back home!!! Thank you everyone for helping, sharing and supporting 💕

📣📣* * * ATTENTION * * * URGENT * * * 📣📣

MARGO one of our adopted dogs, escaped her back yard today and has been hit by a car, but ran off.

She lives on Webb Mills Rd, Raymond, ME.

Her dad has informed animal control and I advised him to contact the police, emergency services. Lost Pet Tracking Dogs and all the other things.

Her dad, Ryan, cell # is 860-978-5443 - if you are able to help look for her, please call him.

That is all I know - and if he updates me I will update this post.

Keep this poor girl in your thoughts and hope Ryan finds her I am sure he is going out of his mind with worry as I am too!
