Miss Xena is beating the heat with 2 fans blowing on her! She said to thank Anne Camarda for the fans! They are the best thing we have received for the goats to date!

They used them all Weekend at Bear Festival & they hang perfect in the car for the hatch back crew when traveling!

OH and if you have hot flashes these are amazing!

Meet Cedric! He came to us from Nisqually with an injured front leg.

I have seen this kind of injury in a puppy that I had when I was around 18 years old, the conclusion was that there was a fracture in the growth plate of the elbow, which caused it to kind of grow into like a curve at the joint. My little bear had almost the exact same leg shape as this little Kitten.

Cedric is 11 weeks old and he does not have any issues so far with his leg & he is not in pain. He is very active & playful.

We see the amazing Dr Stevens on 8/12 for X-rays & a kitten appt! All disabled cats go into Cascade West veterinary clinic for their initial appointments! Then if everything checks out, we send them through a low cost community spay & neuter run if there’s one available!

Mikey & Coco are home! These wonderful pendants were made by a friends husband In Greyland! I’m so grateful for people who support us & understand the love we have for these animals.

Coco was my first goat! She gave me Gabi! She was my best friend for a long time & helped Lyle recover from his stroke in 2020! She was spiteful & loved ci******es!

Mikey was my first hard case rescue! He had CH so he was always shaking & got lost a lot… he was also visually impaired. But he was my baby for sure & he loved anything Reese!  Because of Mikey’s condition he came in every single night to have dinner and in the winter, he would often stay inside until morning. He learned how to hold his p*e and he would go to the front or back door to go out and make this horrible cry…. He really thought he was a dog! And just know if I forgot to let him in, he would definitely let you know. If you couldn’t find Mikey outback you knew that he was probably in Maverick’s house sound asleep curled up with his giant LGD. They were the best of friends….

So the rescue being under video surveillance per two documents now has made it so that I’m not really asking volunteers to come up and help at this time. I just wanna protect the people that come here and make sure they feel safe and don’t have to worry about their conversations being audio, or them being video recorded!!

What I will say is this has been such an inconvenience to me because I’ve had to work pretty much from as soon as I get up and finish feeding bottle babies till 10 o’clock quiet time!

Three days at the McCleary Bear festival was an absolute wonderful break and I appreciated everyone there so much people are still reaching out to me and still being so wonderful!

But boy, I’ll tell you those three days I was gone these Goats wreaked havoc on the Haybarn!!! usually we’re OK to stack our hay where the bottle babies reside in their big giant box truck adjacent to their shed, but Mr. Remmington went ahead and decided he was going to be a baby and he went into the box truck and decided he was gonna take his horns and rip all of the blue string off of the bales!! those bales, then exploded across the box truck, and the babies, of course made an even bigger mess with it!! and then it was all across the property…..

I thank God we have wonderful friends and donors and we have been blessed with a brand new backpack blower. That’s much easier for me to use with my spine and joint issues in my hands. Plus, I got to give the kids that come help me the OLD blower for their new lawn business. OF COURSE I WENT IN AND HAD IT TUNED UP BECAUSE I’VE USED IT SO MUCH. I’D PRETTY MUCH WORN EVERYTHING OUT.

Well Friday the kids are brining us a 100 bales of hay!! Brianna Brown & the crew are working hard to get all the hay in tonight & then they will tarp my 100 on the trailer & bring it Friday!!

YOU GUYS WE ARE ONLY PAYING $1.50 a bale!! Like WHAT! Huge thank you to cousin JoJo! Love seeing these kids work so hard & be so responsible!

Next the kids project will be the new fencing configuration out back & continue the barrier/tarp fence!!! Next year I’m requesting a large grant for a company to come clear the property line & try to purchase enough construction chain link panels to enclose the whole front of the property! It will be Fort Knox when I’m done.

We want to post a huge thank you for all of those people out there who are supporting us!! you’re kind messages and texts have really made a difference over the last week!!

Rescues all over the state are under attack and it’s a very sad, sad world that we live in when people want to mentally emotionally or physically harm rescue workers.

I’ve had many professions over my life, I’ve worked as a staffing executive, I’ve worked in garments and swag, I’ve worked in the Feed industry, I’ve worked in rescue as a child and a young adult, and I’ve worked in numerous retailers for animal supplies or wild, exotic pet sales!! yes back in the late 90s. We sold exotic pets at a pet store. I was 18 years old and we took really really good care of them. But the laws have changed over the last 30 years!

Rescue has probably been the hardest thing I have ever taken on in my life! Don’t get me wrong. I absolutely love what we do, but there are days that the emotional and mental part of it really really gets to you and you feel so incredibly sad about the way the world is around you! Rescue isn’t all cute little babies running around at an event! It’s hard work, it takes an immense amount of compassion and empathy, and every time you lose one of your rescues, a little part of your heart dies with those animals, especially the ones you’ve invested years of sanctuary time into!

I can honestly say that I know every single Goat on my properties name, personality, and voice!! every day I spend one-on-one time with almost every single animal on the farm!! these aren’t just throwaway Goats. These aren’t just worthless baby boys. These are creatures that are alive and have a soul and have a spirit and have emotions and have some of the most wonderful personalities in the world.

So many of you have reached out with resources, information about contacting PETA and what resources to ask for from them, ideas, and suggestions and super kind words!!
