Short’s Fawn Rescue is a nonprofit organization serving Lapeer County and the surrounding area. We rely entirely on donations to keep the doors open and provide life-saving services for displaced, injured and orphaned fawns. There is no monetary compensation from state or federal sources for what we do. Our work is very rewarding, however, the days are long and exhausting, both physically and emot

Hello Friends of the Fawns! Talk about perfect timing... We are approaching the peak of formula consumption, and the fawns are consuming over 8 gallons a day right now. We are buying 100 lbs of dry formula about every two weeks just to keep up!

Then, just as we were looking for a new fundraiser to help fund these purchases, Jersey Mike’s in Lapeer stepped up and offered to run one for us! How cool is that?

Hello Friends of the Fawns! As the herd grows they consume more and more formula, until they begin to graduate to greens. We a making around 8 gallons of formula daily to feed these hungry babies. I just ordered more formula, but we are also low on the probiotic we use to help make the formula more digestible.
