Some of our amazing dogs have been waiting YEARS for their forever homes, and we think it’s time to change that! 💙

From now through the end of the month, any dog who has been at the shelter over three months has a reduced adoption fee of just $25! 🎉

🐾 Be a Fan of Our Dogs! 🐾

Summer is here, and our pups are feeling the heat! ☀️ Since our kennel building doesn’t have AC, we rely on big shop/garage fans to keep tails wagging and tongues cool. Unfortunately, our large fans have recently broken, and our little indoor ones just can’t keep up.

Right now, we really need at least TWO large fans for our big dog area to help the pups stay comfortable while they wait for their forever homes. 🐶💛 If you’ve got a fan sitting in your garage or shop that you’re not using, our dogs would be so grateful!

In the future, we’ll also need some for our new stainless kennel area, but the big dog area is our top priority at the moment.

🐾 Payton Needs Your Help 🐾

This morning, sweet Payton is having surgery to remove cancer from his leg. 💔 This boy is such a gentle, loving soul, and we’re doing everything we can to make sure he gets healthy and finds the forever home he deserves.

We’re asking for your support once again, every donation helps us cover the cost of his surgery and ongoing care. We are estimating a bill of approximately $1,150 - $1,499 depending on the complexity of the mass. We always do as much as we can to keep our animals healthy and happy, especially when they still have so much love to give.

We are also urgently seeking a foster home for Payton. The shelter environment isn’t the best place for him to recover, and he would heal so much better in a clean, comfortable home. If you can open your heart and home to foster Payton, please contact us for more information about his sweet personality.

Let’s help Payton heal and take his first steps toward the happy life he deserves.

🐾 Meet Pierre! 🐾

Pierre is a sweet, 2-year-old black poodle, about 40 lbs. He’s neutered, microchipped, and healthy, and he has a very special personality. He loves cuddles, toys, playing fetch, and even going on little adventures, like trips to the park or the bank!

Pierre is happiest when he can spend time with his person. He communicates with buttons for scratches, play, and potty breaks, and he learns new tricks quickly, especially if treats are involved. He’s playful, affectionate, and always ready to brighten your day.

Pierre does have a few gentle quirks. He can be sensitive about his ears, prefers not to be disturbed while sleeping (just gets grumpy and walks away if you startle him - I'm sure we can all relate), and is socialized around kids but he sometimes feels overwhelmed around younger children. He would do best in a calm home where he can get lots of love, attention, and companionship. He has lived with a cat in the past but sometimes gets a little too excited and chases.

Pierre is in foster care right now and is ready to find his forever home. He loves other dogs (although he prefers to eat his meals alone), and just wants someone to share his big heart with.
