Make Walks Fun🦌Just because you’re going on a walk doesn’t mean it has to be boring! Make walks fun by using your surroundings to incorporate some training into the mix. Maybe throw in a random sit/diwn stay or have your dog place it up on a an elevated surface. Get creative while you’re on your walk and make it fun!

Thank you to everyone who walked it out today for the Weighted Vest Pack Walk! Whether you had a weighted vest or not, it was a fun time! Pack walks are great exposure for your dogs around other dogs. Having it on the trails in the woods was a bonus!

The power of place💙
There are so many different ways you can utilize the power of place with your dog! Place is typically an elevated area with the expectation of not moving from that boundary. This gives your dog a “job” of staying on that place board which will eventually help them learn to settle and relax. Once place becomes familiar it can be utilized in so many ways!

Proofing Place💃🏼
Anything can be place! On a simple walk find a something to “place” your dog on, like a huge boulder. Allow yourself to test out some new dance moves as you build your dogs duration with distractions. I promise your dog won’t judge you too hard

A local path has so much to offer in order to fulfill your dog. Don’t be afraid to break up your walk and take the time to allow your dog to watch the world around them. Paths have so many different everyday distractions that give your dog exposure to so much. At the end of the day it’s about making walks fun for you and your dog!
