Off leash trail hike🌾 Clear communication with the ecollar allows for more off leash freedom for your dog. We were able to take an off leash trail hike with no problems thanks to the ecollar. This is an amazing tool that benefits you and your dog!

Thank you to everyone who made it out to Forest Glen Woods this morning for an amazing pack walk! These pack walks are great ways for dogs to properly socialize around each other. The woods are just a bonus enrichment for both dog and handler. We love to walk it out!

You can’t fake it🎭
Dogs are always going to tell you the truth. When it comes to bonding with your dog and maintaining a solid relationship, you want to be the most important thing to them. This way they know they can look to you in any situation life throws your way. Creating that type of bond is earned through trust, hard work, and lots of patience. This way you both can be successful! Once you have that solid relationship with your dog though, they will choose to follow you anywhere and that’s a great feeling.

Life is more entertaining with dogs🙃
Training allows dogs to do more things with you but let’s remember that they are not robots! Each dog has their own personality to show off so let it shine. It is easy to get caught up in having the “perfect dog” but remember each dog is different with their own struggles so take the time to appreciate the silly moments too. Let them be them!

“That’s So Fetch” Grads🎓
Thank you to these amazing teams who came out every week ready to learn and train together! We were able to continue to build confidence and neutrality around other dogs along with adding some new tricks to the bag too. I loved seeing everyone updates and working on things outside of class. I’m so proud of everyone and remember to always be training!

Let SLM take your dog on an adventure while you’re away. Giving them exposure while training in different environments. This is a great way to work around real life distractions and train for everyday life.

Building confidence on walks🖤
Sometimes dogs can be in their head during the walk. In those times it might be best to play a game with your dog then continue on your walk. Use what is around you to help build your dog’s confidence by having them go on and off different objects! This will work them both mentally and psychically to take the edge off before you walk it out
