Update on Ozzie & Cosmo....These 2 brothers are very bonded. They are 16 weeks old, love to play and cuddle,
We would love to adopt them together.
Ozzie currently weighs 5.9 and Cosmo weighs 5.2 lbs.
They are so sweet & loving and will make great companions !!!

TBH this is not our most favorite time of the year. Our pets are stressed, we are stressed; and there will unfortunately be many pets lost tonight. Some will be found, some will not.

PLEASE, PLEASE do not be of the mind that “she always stays in the yard”. We hear this from 99% of owners who are looking for lost pets. Please keep them on a leash this weekend, at least. Make them a comfy place inside, have some chew toys and treats.

This is the absolute most worst time of year in animal rescue and as a pet or livestock owner. Getting ready… sucking it up… gritting our teeth… here we go

🎆🐶 Keep Your Pup Safe This 4th of July!

Fireworks and festivities can be scary for dogs. Keep them indoors, create a calm space, and make sure their ID tags and microchip info are up to date.

A little care goes a long way in keeping your furry friend safe and sound. Have a good 4th! ❤️🐾

This is PRECIOUS 11 year old Stella. Stella is an ABLAR alumni, adopted from us in 2014. Unfortunately Stella's owner is having health issues so Stella is back with us. Stella is a border collie mix.
We are on a mission to find this amazing girl a loving safe home to live out her senior years.
Stella is still active and playful. Her favorite squeaky toys are her turtle and squirrels. She is used to a fenced in yard but she walks well on a harness and leash. Stella is house and crate trained.
She weighs 46.6 lbs and is good with other dog friendly dogs, but not cats.
Stella will sit for her treats and ask please by lifting her paw.
If you love seniors, this is your girl. She needs stability and reassurance as this transition is difficult for her and her previous owner. Stella was the only furbaby and the only thing her previous owner cares about is Stella's well being.
Please help us bring comfort and happiness to this beautiful sweet girl !!!

Sweet Molly Socks is a bundle of nerves and asking for your good wishes today - getting ready for her spay surgery!

Hovering close to 50lbs, Molly Socks is an average sized bundle of energy. She’s definitely got some German Shepherd in there, but we aren’t sure what else.

She likes to cuddle sometimes, and at times she likes to be busy. She spent the first part of her life on a chain. Molly is looking for a family who can recognize what a treasure she is; who can spend time keeping her body and mind active and engaged. She is about 3 years old.

We recommend no cats - dogs are a case by case basis. She has an incredibly sweet personality. So far she has not met a stranger.

This is 11 year old Stella. Her mom adopted her as a puppy from us in 2014.
Stella's mom is having some health issues that require her to go to a nursing home. At this point her family is not sure if it will be temporary or long term. Her main concern is Stella, which she considers her 3rd child. Since Stella is an ABLAR alumni, we want to step up for Stella and her mom.
WE NEED A FOSTER FOR STELLA ASAP !! She is house, leash and crate trained. Super sweet and loving. Stella weighs approx 50 lbs. She is still very active and loves squeaky toys. She has been the only furbaby but does get along with other dog friendly dogs. Cats unfortunately are not a good mix for Stella. She is also used to a fenced in yard but that would not be necessary since she is leash trained.

Last week, Spot and I hung out with the Crawdads again. Thanks a bunch to staff for being so gracious and to the supporters who stopped by! Spot was ready for some air conditioning, so we cut out after the game got started. We really appreciate all the nice people who stopped by and said hello to Spot! He’s a little shy and is still learning to gain confidence in new environments.

Spot is about a year old blue heeler mix. He’s pretty chill for the most part, but he does like to play hard. He LOVES to cuddle as much as he loves toys. So far, he has not shown any concerning behavior with other dogs. We don’t know about cats yet. He walks well on a leash, knows how to sit, and is learning other basics.
