Sometimes in rescue, things don’t go as planned. No matter how hopeful everyone is, sometimes coming back to us is best.
In the past few days we have taken back 3. Please no negativity. Everyone did right by these dogs. Again, not every dog works in every home.
💚Nina. Everyone involved wanted the best. She was just having some issues being alone in the house while the foster was gone to work. I think I tried so hard to get her out of the rescue, that I didn’t take into consideration that she may not do well and she may have more stress with all of the moves and the huge change in her life. (Her mom was deployed) So her foster and I decided coming back to us until we could find a different place might be best. She’s doing fine. She’s in a more quiet area but enjoying her outside time during the day. But she longs for what she had. She is a little butterball at 35 lbs, fixed, crate trained, house trained, eligible for foster or adoption. She’s a cuddle bug. Her foster raved about how sweet she was.
🩵Todd (now Nash) Due to a devastating medical diagnosis, he is back with us. He’s a beautiful Pittie mix. He’s crate trained and house trained, loves people and has lived successfully in a home with a small dog. We feel that he would be fine with cats as well. He is having a rough time being here after being in a home for several months. He’s eligible for foster or adoption.
♥️And the toughest one for everyone involved…Mistletoe. God knows this family tried. But sometimes we don’t know things until dogs get into homes. Unfortunately, Mistletoe has never had a home of her own and we feel that once she came out of her shell, she was not happy about sharing the home or the family with another dog. The fosters raved about what a sweet girl she is, but she was not sweet to their dog. Mistletoe would need to be in a home with no other animals. Bc her prey drive is high, we are also saying no small children. No cats. This is a unicorn home that we are looking for. We understand that. We just don’t know what to do with Mistletoe in all honesty. This environment is too much for her. So I’m throwing this out there to see if someone thinks that they may be a good place for this sweet girl.
