Last night, Bremen decided chaos was on the menu.

Out of nowhere, he started panting, crying, and drooling. Since he has a known heart condition, I panicked and rushed him to the emergency vet, thinking something serious must be going on.

The staff took him to the back immediately, and after about 10 minutes, he came back stable. He did have a fever of 104°F, so he received a fever-reducing injection. Physical exam showed no concerning findings. He even took a moment to rub against every staff's legs to show off how better he is feeling 🙃

I was instructed to give him fluids and keep monitoring him.

Today, he’s back to his usual self—ate his breakfast, no fever (101°F🎉), and reminded me that I’m perhaps the one who needs medication from the anxiety he caused🙄

The visit cost $313. While I’m grateful it wasn’t serious, emergencies like this still take a toll on a small sanctuary like ours.

We had the cutest visitor ask me today, "who is the most misbehaved one?"

Without hesitation, I said, “Moose.”

And this is why😂 He is the reason why I have child locks on all the cupboards. He knows where the goodies are hidden and messes with my *somewhat* organized treat cabinet.

A couple weeks ago, Joyce gave us a bit of a scare. She was straining to urinate, and with her kidney history, that meant an immediate vet trip.

Turns out it was idiopathic cystitis. She was given antibiotics and has been doing so well since!

But the biggest shock of all? During her appointment, she climbed into my lap and waited with me for the doctor.
If you know Joyce, you know this is nothing short of a miracle. She’s the spiciest cat 🔥 at the sanctuary, and that moment absolutely melted me.

Also… she kind of fell in love with the scale? 😹 It was such a delight to see her in a different element.

This visit cost $380, but was fully covered thanks to our past Senior Cat Care Fundraiser. Thank you all so much for loving our senior Suncatchers💛

Baby Starla is growing up quickly! She is officially out of the intake room and soaking up everything from her older siblings like a sponge.

Our usual extroverted suspects are showing Starla the ropes on how to be a true Suncatcher, and she's catching on fast💨

🎉 Today marks 3 years of Suncatcher Sanctuary 🥳 A dream that started with nothing but a heart and a knowing that these special needs cats deserved more.

We've saved 60 cats- seniors, hospice, and disabled cats who had nowhere else to go.
This year, my goal is to truly "catify" this space: easy-to-clean floors, ramps, catwalks, a peaceful catio, and healing spaces designed just for them. I want this to be more than a house we all live in, and transform it into a true sanctuary that helps me serve these beautiful souls better and continue saving lives🐱💕

To celebrate this milestone, I'm asking everyone to donate just $3 in honor of our 3rd year🧡 Every dollar supports the Suncatchers and helps bring this dream to life.

Wilbur signed himself up to become Starla's foster dad 🥹💛
Shortly after her arrival, he began begging to go inside her room. Wilbur makes sure she completes her food, grooms her, and shows her how to play.
It's the sweetest freaking thing ever, and I sometimes can't handle the cuteness 😭 I have a bunch of videos of these two and will post them soon!💕

🌟It’s National Kitten Day, and there's no better way to celebrate than by showing off our brave, quirky, sweetest little girl we've recently took in: Starla 🌟
She came to us with some sniffles and a congenital deformity in her back legs, in which they don't fully extend. Despite those initial challenges, Starla just received a clean bill of health!🎉 We were also shown how to help with her legs by doing some gentle stretches for her too!
Between her first vet visit of $87 and ongoing care, we’re aiming to raise $200 to support her journey. If you’d like to help give this little star the bright future she deserves, we’d be so incredibly grateful💖

Hello?! Is this even the same girl?! 🐱✨
Thanks to our incredible community of donors, Blanche is thriving once again.

At 18 years old, our oldest lady is living her 9th life. No more inflamed gums, her coat is soft and shiny, and she’s looking plump and healthy. She’ll stay on her anti-inflammatory meds for life, but what a life she’s getting to live!

It’s truly amazing to witness this kind of transformation. Thank you for loving her with us and giving her another chance💛🧡

So remember how I announced yesterday that Moose was going to the vet today due to him not eating for a few days? Well, he casually strolled over to his bowl this morning and decided to eat again🎉 And look at him snooze, not having any idea of how concerned I was and on the verge of a panic attack😭🤣😂 We went ahead and canceled the appointment but will continue to observe diligently. Thank you to everyone who sent well wishes. Clearly, Moose was listening🩶🤍
