Our two precious little girls are still waiting. They are the longest residents in the Shelter and two of the sweetest girls you will ever meet.
Pebbles, on the left, is a beautiful petite brindle pity mix with the most gorgeous brown eyes. She is approximately 4 years old and came to the shelter as a stray. Pebbles has passed all assessments and has no resource guarding. She walks nicely on leash, takes treats gently, loves to run, play and stretch her legs and even more loves to sit and just hang out with her person. If she could, this little sweetheart would sit outside all day on a bench in the shade and fresh air just relaxing by your side. She is definitely a favorite, but Pebbles does need to be your one and only and that is the only reason that we can think of that she keeps getting passed over. Trust us when we say if you have this little lady in your life, you won’t need anyone else, she just wants to be someone’s special girl.
Our other amazing little lady is Hazel, a “lowrider”, sturdy little girl around 3 years old who also has been waiting so patiently for someone to take her home. She is a great little girl who is energetic, also loves her hikes and playing ball, and after her time out with the volunteers, she goes right back to her kennel, does a few of her yoga poses and then settles in for a nap. Hazel has also passed all of her assessments, has no resource guarding, but she too must be a one and only pet. A gorgeous and amazing little girl who would be a perfect companion.
Our long timers Pebbles and Hazel are available for immediate adoption or to any 501(c)3 Rescue that can help them out of the shelter. If your Rescue can help or if you are interested in fostering, please email [email protected].
Please stop by the shelter and ask to meet Pebbles and Hazel. They are both such deserving little ladies. We know their families are out there somewhere. Please give them a chance. Pebbles and Hazel are both spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped and ready to go home with you.
Northern Ocean County Animal Facility, 615 Freemont Ave., Jackson, NJ. The Shelter is open seven days a week from 1 to 4 PM.
