Maggie has been a broodmare most of her life and this year her new owners decided it was time that she came out to some shows. She ended her season with a bang at the GHRA ,Inc North American Championship Show. Her results were as follows

Captain was a little superstar as always at the GHRA show this past weekend. I cannot stress enough how genuine and sweet this boy is. He tries his heart out every time. Captain has some fantastic results with both Kolten and Tia (youth handler /driver)
Thursday was the start of the classes with halter.

Saturday saw the start of the driving classes and Captain competed in both the Open and the Youth classes.

This is Captains first season in the driving classes and every time he puts his best foot forward. He only came Reserve Champion to his stable mate Floyd.
We truely cannot thank his owner Julie enough for trusting him with us but also allowing Tia the privilege of showing him in the youth classes this year. He sure has made us all very proud of him.

He can be seen out in Belton TX next for his last show of the season before he returns home to his owner.

Floyd as he is known at home knocked it out of the park at the GHRA ,Inc North American Championship show this past weekend.
Thursday saw him compete in the Halter classes.

On Saturday he then competed in his driving classes which is his favorite thing to do.

This was Floyd’s last show of the season as he is now turned out to have some much needed down time to let his body and his brain relax. He has had a phenomenal first season driving and and halter and he is expecting his first foals to arrive next spring.

Congratulations and thankyou to his owners for their continued support and faith in us. I hope we all made you as proud as he has made us this year.

What an absolutely fantastic show team Classic Stables has had at the GHRA ,Inc national championship show!

First off, as always a huge THANK YOU and well done for pulling off such a great show! It was welcoming, very well run, easy and a great venue. The whole show team were fun and always happy to help whilst keeping everything running smoothly and efficiently and we appreciate everyone who helped to organize , run and participate.

We had a team of 6 horses there and all of them exceeded expectations and tried their hearts out. We will do posts individually for each of them but some of the highlights include

🏆- Champion Youth
🏆- Champion Mare
🏆- Champion Stallion
🏆- Champion in most of the driving classes entered

We had a great time with our super clients and obviously seeing our show family. We met new friends and caught up with old friends.

All in all a very successful show both in and out of the ring!

A great first day at the GHRA ,Inc North American Championship

This last year was our favorite show and it has been no different this year. Very well run, friendly and a great facility and check out the custom made trophies for every first placed winner - trophies beautifully made by Summer Rose.

This was only day 1 so results will be posted once we are through so stay tuned!

This 2 yr old c**t was very lovingly cared for by Connie Ryder and we are very thankful that she agreed that between us and Julie, this would be a great place for him to come and live.

Piper as he is known at home has already been an overall supreme champion in halter on a couple of occasions and just this past weekend we took him out to Jacksonville, Florida where he unanimously won his class then stood unanimous reserve champion stallion to his stable mate TMR The Mane Attraction and then on to win the North American bred Jr stallion class where he was one of the youngest in it.
We are VERY excited for the future of this gorgeous 2 yr old c**t and extremely thankful to his owners Julie and Kathy for trusting team classic with him. I don’t know who is more excited, them or us about him!

J & S Equestrian Events hold such a great show! If you get chance to go next year and compete please do!
We had a fun packed week as always with our team and it was great catching up with everyone and cheering each other on!
We took 6 horses and had some great results.

🖤TMR The Main Attraction🖤

Floyd really put his best hoof forward for this show and had some great results including winning all of his halter classes. Unanimous Overall champion stallion and supreme halter under 1 judge. Then onto the driving classes with Chris unanimously winning every class he drove him in, then competed in the Amateur driving with Joe Alba at the whip and they did great!
Then day 2 he did some more driving classes winning unanimous in the reinsmanship class with Katie and even had his first go at competing in a driven dressage test scoring 64.75% with Chris so he had some fantastic results.

This was Addy’s first time out showing with us after only being with us for a couple of weeks. She did so good for such a young filly! She won and was second in the 2yr old fillies class then went on to stand reserve champion mare under 1 judge! very excited for this fillies future both in the showring and out. She then went in her first trail Inhand class and even though we have lots to work on she did her best over every obstacle. She is a real credit to her breeder Lisa.

Maggie was an absolute pleasure to show and had some great results including a second and fourth in the open mares and then went on to win the North American bred mares class under 1 judge and fourth with the other judge.
This mares day will come soon, she is as true to type as you will find and such a beautifully put together mare. We are very excited to have her as part of our show team.

🎀SSFR Lucky Doll 🎀
(owned by Joe and Karen Powell KE) bred by Superior Stables Vanners.
Dolly started the week well getting some good results in her halter classes placing in every class in good company. Unfortunately when we entered day 2 of the driving classes we realized she was lame on a front leg and we scratched the rest of the classes. It was a real shame as she had been working so well at home but again she has an exciting driving career ahead of her and behaved beautifully in the class that she did drive in.
📣SSFR Game On 📣
(Owned by Joe and Karen Powell) bred by Superior Stables.
Bubs as he is known at home had a great show! This is his only second EVER show and he behaved beautifully for a young stallion. He has only been broken to ride this year by Kolten and he did us all very proud. In the Halter stallions 3/4 yr olds he was unanimous second to his stable mate The Mane Attraction. Then in the North American Bred jr stallions again he was unanimous second to his other stable mate Piper. He showed himself great with his ears pricked and looking proud to be there the whole time. Day 3 was his time to give the ridden classes at go. His first class was the green horse ranch riding class which he won unanimously! Then he went in the ranch riding jr horse and was unanimous 3rd place. for his ranch rail he was 4ft/5th place. Overall some things to continue working on but we are very happy with his progress and especially how he is conducting himself at the shows! I hope his owners are as proud of him as we are.

Big John exceeded all expectations this weekend at the Heritage Classic.
He hasn’t been shown at any breed shows since a yearling and as he is only a 3yr old he only gets ridden maybe a couple of times per week so to say we thought we would enter him in the walk trot canter classes shows how much we tested him and he flew!

Unanimous 1st - dressage suitability walk/trot/canter out of 5
3rd/4th in the English pleasure jr./sr combined
Unanimous 1st in the Hunter hack class as we were the only ones in it but he did jump clear !
Not too many horses are ready for the canter classes at their first show as a Jr horse and then to win a class was great!
Big congratulations to Tia for letting me ride him and well done on all the hardwork and love you give him! I hope you was as proud as him as we were.

First day of Florida sunshine Gypsy vanner show.

We started off with driving at this show! A mixed bag of results having 2 horses in 2 carriages and 4 different drivers between the classes. Horses went pretty good on the whole a few baby blips from each of them which cost us an odd place or two but overall pleased with how they did! The turnouts at this show were fantastic and it’s really encouraging to see!

Not really got any pics from today as we didn’t have any extra hands to be getting pictures but hopefully we can get some for halter tomorrow!

What an amazing weekend we have had up at River Lane Ranch in Edmonton, Canada at the TGCA show !
After spending the last few years seeing their fantastic horses on Facebook, the opportunity to fly
up there in person finally presented itself, and we couldn’t refuse !

We cannot thank the Baird family enough for the amazing hospitality we have been shown over this weekend.
The whole 3 days have been a blast. The raw passion, dedication and respect for this breed from the whole family could not have been more apparent.

We have all made some really good friends over these few days and learnt some things along the way.

Kolten got to step in the ring and shadow the judges in preparation for working towards his TGCA judges card, we got to show some in the evaluations, obviously look around their herd of horses and in general just hang out and enjoy a night of dancing with a live band !
Was really nice to finally get to meet some people we have spoken to and become friends with from a distance and get to put faces to Facebook names.
Here’s to future good times, laughs and good company !
