Come see us at this super fun event in Kirksville, MO on May 20! We will be doing liberty performances at 11:00 and 4:00, and will be joined for the very first time by the 2nd generation of Shooting Star Liberty Performers, making their debut with the infamous miniature horse, Cocoa! We will also be incorporating some of our trick riding students (from the clinic we are hosting on May 13) into an exciting trick riding demonstration at 1:30!

Our spring schedule includes 2 performances in the NE Missouri area! The Shooting Star Liberty Act will be featured at the open house of the Kirksville Community Horse Center in Kirksville, MO on May 20, 2023. The next weekend, we will be performing the liberty act at the Milan Rodeo in Milan MO on both Friday and Saturday nights. This will be a big step.....our horses' first time in front of a big "rodeo" crowd! We are a little unsure how that will turn out, but fingers crossed that they are ready!

It's been a while, but we are once again offering a spring clinic! Not only will you have the chance to attend the day-long clinic and learn the basics of trick riding, but you also have the (optional) opportunity to join us the following weekend to be a part of a performance opportunity!

While we are still teaching and appreciate trick riding, our personal focus has shifted over the last couple of years to liberty work with horses! We have learned a lot and had a lot of fun in the process. We have finally decided that it's time to try it out in front of a crowd! The Shooting Star Specialty Act will be performing a liberty routine at the Grand Opening ceremonies of the Kirksville Community Horse Center on Saturday May 8, 2021 at 12:00 and 4:00. Stop by if you happen to be in the area!

Registration forms have been posted for the 2020 Chariton Hills Rodeo Bible Camp! Visit www.charitonhillsRBC.com if you are interested in attending the camp in Bloomfield, IA on June 17-20, 2020. You can print a registration form from that site. Trick riding is one of the events offered---taught by Sarah Rouse and Sara Sevits (The Shooting Star Trick Riders)! It fills up very quickly so don't delay! Other events to choose from are trick roping, goat tying, barrel racing, roping, and much more!

Last clinic for 2019!! If you were wanting to attend one of our trick riding clinics, now's your chance. This will be the last clinic we have until Spring 2020. We are expecting many repeat students at this clinic so will hopefully tackle some more advanced tricks as well as work on adding speed to existing tricks.
