This page is dedicated to the cats that live in the care of Pet Guard's Sanctuary & it's Adoption Center. Every effort is made to find our adoptable cats permanent, loving homes but the majority of our guys are permanent residents that will spend their lives with us. Some are nearing the end, some have behavioral issues but many are here because this is the only safe place they have ever known. We

have a few dogs that are permanent residents, too. Pet Guards is a 501c3 charitable organization that was started in 1988.

Hi everyone. It's been a long time since I posted anything. That's because I've been working at the clinics & have not been able to keep up with the shelter animals.
Anyways, I have some bittersweet news. The shelter as we know it has been closed. It was time but it still makes me sad. The sanctuary cats are still being cared for & will be for the rest of their lives.
I want you all to know that it's been a pleasure getting to know you. Local folks, please take advantage of our low cost veterinary services. You can find out more at petguards.com

This announcement is very difficult to write even though we knew the time would come. Gemma has passed. The leukemia took her. Even though Ashley had her much longer than expected, she is devastated. They truly adored each other.
Thank you Ashley, for giving Gemma a real home. Our hearts are with you.
