As we move into warmer weather and we get pets in that have waited all winter to get groomed we thought we would post this as a gentle reminder to all:
Matted Coat Policy Reminder At The Paw Spa Uniontown & Hartville. We do not brush out severely matted coats Attempting to brush out matting can cause:
• Skin redness and irritation
• Bruising
• Emotional distress
‣ Long-term fear of grooming
In these cases the safest and most humane option is a Restart Groom - a fresh start that removes the matting safely and allows the coat to grow back healthy. We offer this option today in the best interest of the pet. We understand that haircuts can be emotional however, our responsibility is to the health, safety, and comfort of the pet - always. We will never compromise our training, integrity, or ethical standards to meet cosmetic expectations.
If protecting a pet from unnecessary pain earns us a one-star review, we will accept it with professionalism and with the peace of knowing we did what was right for the pet-
