Windy Oak Farm Horse Boarding Windy Oak Farm, owned by Rebekah Lusk and Steven Bright, is set on 21 acres in the rolling foot hills of eastern Frederick County, MD.

Windy Oak provides stall boarding and training services and facilities, focusing on the disciplines of eventing and dressage. Windy Oak Farm provides all the facilities and amenities for riding and training your horse throughout the year, on a farm with a small number of horses, lots of space, personalized attention and a laid-back family atmosphere. Windy Oak is centrally located between Frederick, Mt. Airy, and Westminster.

ISO of new employee for Windy Oak farm. Looking for someone to work 5 days per week (M-F) in PM, approximately 3-4 hours per day. However, we also have availability for the person to work in the AM, which can be approximately another 1-2 hours, depending on the day. We are somewhat flexible on the position and have the ability to give more work and hours, if someone is available, depending on skills. We need someone to start immediately.

We are a small horse boarding facility, with 8 horses. Responsibilities include daily stall and barn cleaning, including mucking, hay, water, cleaning buckets/troughs, turn-in/out horses, feeding, blanket changes, ring dragging, dusting, and other general barn and farm duties (as needed and depending on skills). Duties may also include assisting with tacking/un-tacking horses, grooming, and other general groom duties, depending on person's availability and skills. All the horses are well-behaved and it is a friendly, calm environment, with no drama.

We are searching for someone who is reliable, including having reliable transportation, is detail oriented, self-motivated, and able to manage work with minimal supervision, is able to handle the physical requirements of working in a barn and on the farm, and has experience handling/caring for horses. We need someone who is very comfortable working with horses, as we have horses ranging in age from 7 months to 20 years old and need someone who is comfortable handling a range of horses. We are also looking for someone who wants a longer term position.

This is a paid hourly position and you will be an employee. We are a licensed boarding facility. We carry Workman's Comp insurance and participate in the State retirement program.

Windy Oak Farm is looking for some new boarders, to add to our current great group. We have one stall open and a second stall opening mid-June. We are ideally looking for geldings, but if you have two mares or a mare and gelding that you want to have private turn-out together, we can also accommodate this.

Our farm includes an indoor with a full wall of mirrors, full size dressage outdoor, jumping/hack field, an exercise track around the property, hot/cold wash stall, plus more. We are an great fit for the amateur pleasure dressage and/or eventing rider and for someone who wants a smaller facility, with the amenities of a larger facility.

Horses are turned out in small herds and get lots of personal attention. Horses are outside about 12-14 hours per day, depending on the time of year and weather. We feed high quality orchard grass hay, non-GMO feed, and have excellent grass and pastures. We are kid friendly and even have a swing set next to the barn for younger kids.

Boarders can use their own farrier/vet and bring their own trainer. We are conveniently located between Frederick, Mt. Airy and Westminster, right outside of Libertytown in Frederick County, MD and close to lots of shows. We are a very friendly, relaxed, and quiet farm. PM for details and to tour the farm.

ISO of employee to work at Windy Oak Farm. Looking for someone to work 4-5 days per week (M-F) in both AM and PM (approximately 30 hours per week). But also flexible with position and will consider someone who is only available to work in the PM. Looking to hire immediately and have someone start no later than week of May 20th.

We are a small horse boarding facility, with a maximum of 8 horses. Responsibilities include daily stall and barn cleaning, including mucking, hay, water, cleaning buckets/troughs, turn-in/out horses, feeding, blanket changes, ring dragging, and other general barn and farm duties (as needed). If you have your own horse, you can board your horse as part of the compensation. We currently have one opening for a gelding.

Windy Oak Farm currently has one stall available for a gelding for full care stall board and we will have a second stall available in a few weeks. We are ideally looking for geldings, but would be open to a boarder with two mares, whose horses can go out together.
