Umpqua Valley German Shepherds

Umpqua Valley German Shepherds Sharing with others our love of the German Shepherd breed through our AKC registered dams and sires. We will have puppies available usually twice yearly.

We have raised German Shepherds for over 20 years. Took a break for a few years and acquired a beautiful white dam, black and tan sire and a sable dam to start having puppies again. Bachus, a white male, joined us in January of 2015 and Lucy, a white female, joined us in August 2016. One of our females, from Blanca and Thor, was kept and has whelped some darling pups. We take great pride in our k

ennels and will not over breed or inbreed at all. Our females breed just once yearly. The dogs in our kennel are well cared for, loved and are our pets as well. We have 10 acres in the country and they get to enjoy lots of free time running over the property and socializing with one another. They get along great, have good temperaments and are training very well. Our FB page is just the start of our venture of breeding some of the best GSD's you can find! When we have a litter, we welcome people to come visit and check out our kennels and see the pups as well as all of the other dogs. Actually, we welcome anyone to visit at any time we are home and see how we do things. On a side note, I am a tournament archer and travel frequently during late winter, spring and summer. My wife travels with me but we are always available by message or phone. Our pet caregiver is awesome and we totally entrust them with the dogs care.

We obviously don’t monitor our page much and it’s clearly why so much junk ads/posts are here. Life is keeping us busy with all the kids as they age. We both have elderly mothers (93 and 94 years old). One lives not far from us. The other is in a facility in California, 7 hour drive away. The one near us we go see frequently and rarely see the other. Dementia has robbed us of her but it’s important to us to make sure she gets good care and see it for ourselves. Lucy is 100% indoors and Polly joins us inside often. Maya is squirrely and we now have cats and she’s so reactive to them. Neither Chief nor Bachus come in, mostly because they aren’t house broke but also because they honestly prefer to be outside.

We have been absent from this page for awhile. It’s all about life happening. Lucy is loving being a house dog. We had to put a cover over the chair and you can see the dirt as to why! 😂 It was my father’s chair and I was lucky to get it when he passed 7 years ago. Hope all the kids are doing well.
