Founded in 1976 as an organization solely for charitable purposes and has the general responsibility to operate for the advancement of humane treatment and the prevention of cruelty to animals.

We are NOT Animal Services/Control and we do NOT receive state funding. Please be patient with the fact that we have limited space. We receive numerous calls daily about animals needing help and each of t

hem is just as important as the other. We do not have the capacity to take in an unlimited number of animals. Unfortunately, many must be turned away. We will provide you with a list of other shelters and information that may help you in your time of need. General is ready to make a splash 💦

He is a fun-loving 1 year old male Lab/Hound mix weighing approx. 45 lbs. He is not overly social with people, but he LOVES to play! Give this boy a pool with water or a hose and he will surely entertain you! General enjoys chasing toys, splashing in the water and going for walks. He does well with other dogs and will need a home with no cats or small livestock. General recently completed 10 weeks of training through the Greyhound Advancement Center. While there, he learned basic and intermediate commands, and he is eager to continue learning in his new home!🏡 Spend time with General at our shelter and you'll quickly see what a special dog he is!

Fall in Love with Hartley 😻

She is a BEAUTIFUL 6 year old female Calico ready for your snuggles. She has a very sweet personality, and she enjoys receiving attention and pets. Hartley does well in our Kitty Kottage with other cats. She mostly hangs to herself and LOVES lounging on the cat trees. Hartley would do great as an only cat or with other cats who don't want much of her attention. She will make the PURRfect companion for a loving person or family🏡

Meet Fiona ❤

She is a lovable 1 year old female Mix weighing just 36 lbs. Fiona is GREAT with people and does very well socializing with other dogs in playgroups! Cats are unknown but we can test her if needed. Fiona is an absolute sweetheart who loves attention and pleasing her people. She walks great on the leash and enjoys going for walks. She loves playing outside but will quickly join you on the couch for some cuddles and relaxation. This girl is perfection!🏡 Fiona is Heartworm Positive and has started her treatment. Her pictures just don't due her justice. You need to meet Fiona in person to see how wonderful she truly is!

She’s been waiting far too long for someone to notice just how special she is. 💔

This beautiful 2 year old girl has spent over 7 months at our shelter watching other cats come and go while she patiently waits for her turn. Even after all this time, she still greets each day with curiosity, playfulness, and hope.

She absolutely LOVES toys and is always the first to investigate anything new in our Kitty Kottage. Whether she’s chasing a toy, exploring around the room, or playing with her feline friends, her fun-loving personality shines through. She brings so much life and joy wherever she goes.

While she can be a little shy when meeting new people, treats and toys quickly help her warm up — and once she does, you’ll see the sweetest, most adorable personality emerge. She’s the kind of cat who just needs someone willing to give her a little patience and love.

She has so much happiness left to give, and it breaks our hearts knowing she’s still waiting for a forever home after all this time. Somewhere out there is the person she’s been hoping for.

Please consider coming to meet Tabatha at our shelter. She’s more than ready to finally go home. 🐾

Meet Caramel - an adorable 1 year old male Terrier mix weighing just 42 lbs. He has short legs and a BIG heart! Caramel is a social butterfly who LOVES meeting new people and going on adventures. He is friendly with other dogs, cats are unknown but we can test him if needed. Caramel enjoys his playtime and also loves snuggling for some quiet time too.
