Rosie is one beautiful girl! She is 2 years old and weighs 73 pounds. She is very passive, friendly, gentle, sweet and loving. She loves people, including kids (has been around 10 years and up) and loves her doggy friends.

Rosie is motivated by snacks! She is house broken with a consistent schedule. She likes being rewarded with treats and can now sit and take snacks from your hand very gently. She does not like baths very much but she does like napping on cold floors. She enjoys taking short walks and smelling new scents. She loves laying in the sun but also gets hot pretty quickly.

Rosie, rescued after being hit by a car, had successful hip surgery and is recovering well. We took her in post-surgery, and a caring foster is helping her recover. However, she needs TPLO surgery on her other leg. Rosie is available for foster-to-adopt as we raise funds for her next surgery. Apply today!

🚨 Urgent Appeal: Foster Needed for Tanner! 🚨

We are urgently seeking a foster home for Tanner! His owner, who was a volunteer with us, unfortunately passed away, leaving Tanner in a difficult situation. While his family is currently in town, they are unable to provide a permanent home for him. As it stands, Tanner is alone in his house, surrounded by his own mess, with only occasional check-ins from people. Tanner truly deserves better.

Tanner is an incredibly affectionate dog who adores everyone he meets, always hoping for a head scratch or a belly rub. His owner cherished him deeply, and Tanner was a devoted companion throughout daily activities. He has a laid-back personality, enjoying brief play sessions or walks before settling down to soak up the sun or watch some TV. Tanner is well-behaved on a leash and is quick to sit and shake hands when treats are involved. However, he does experience some separation anxiety, barking when left alone if he senses a loved one nearby.

Currently, we do not have an available kennel at the Refuge, and we are eager to find Tanner a safe and clean environment. Please reach out if you can help Tanner!

We will provide you with all the supplies and cover all medical care. Fostering saves lives and it will only cost you time and energy! We know time is precious but we hope you can spare some for them.

  • I want to volunteer, how do I do that? Go to www.signupgenius.com and look up our account under [email protected] and sign up there. You can also find the most current sign up on our page. A new one is posted every Sunday.

  • How old do you have to be to volunteer by yourself? At least 16, unless you have attended the orientation session and have cleared it with management.
