We are a non-profit animal rescue group based out of New Orleans, LA. We rescue them from the streets, bad situations, kill shelters, etc., nurse them back to health, get them fully vet checked, spayed/neutered, up to date on all vaccinations, place them in foster homes for training, and then find them their forever homes! We require everyone to fill out an adoption application, pass a vet check,

I've been working on Sampsons manners. Man he was rough. He was active and had zero manners. He can now be around the dogs but I still believe he should be an only dog. He is beyond food aggressive to dogs. He will occasionally snap on them. While its improved a lot, I think for most families it would be too much of an issue. Hes learned not to put his paws on my counters, stove and table. Hes learned he cannot beg while I eat. When we're outside, he now lays by my feet. Previously he jumped on me nonstop wanting attention.

He did throw up part of a toy one day. So he'll have to be given sturdy toys only. I always recommend insurance but I think he definitely needs it. Hes not chewed up any other stuffed animals though. He doesnt get in the bed.

He somehow gets out of the fence but doesnt go anywhere. He barks outside the fence asking to be let back in. I need to figure that out. He does try to push his way out any time I open the gate. So we're working on that. The new owner will need to be careful with gates and have an extremely secure fence. He doesnt seem the brightest. Hell walk into a kennel and can't figure out how to keep walking with everyone else. I have to lead him out the kennel to join everyone.

He got a great exam. The vet estimates him as 6 to 9 months. He had a bad flea allergy when he came. I noticed this weekend the reason the one ear stands up that its been cut in half. Hes a beefy schnauzer mix. He barks at the pigs. He's fine with my 5 lb dog. I was worried how he'd act. The biggest dog hes around was 169 lbs.

Happy Sunday!
I've got to ask the trainer how to stop the two little black dogs from ankle biting. Especially since i can't touch one. Crazy thing is the friendly one and Fred are best friends. Fred is a sensitive soul.
