With the end coming near, I just wanted to do a remembrance to how it all began.
It's been a wild ride. That's for sure!
I started it back in 2015. The gate to walk in my grooming room is the gate from the original shop.
I left a situation and left that business behind. Still the same name.
I just knew I would open it again one day, though.
Four years later, and I did. I was working in a bad situation and losing dogs, so I decided to just go for it again.
I demolished a building to remodel it and the building fell, though. I hurry to find a new one.
To only find out my partner wanted out and I was too far in to let go. So I kept going alone.
The thing is... I have been driving past my building for four years when I worked at the other shop and always thought. These big windows would make a perfect grooming shop. And it did !❤️
So I called my landlord to see if he would rent it by chance, and he was amazing, so I quickly got to work fixing.
I found out real quick. I was running out of money so my options were.
Get a loan or get another job.
So, another job it was. Until I was at 7.
One being taking care of my grandpa for the last 2 years of his life. Something I would never take back.
I would work Tuesday and Thursdays 30-hour shifts between 4 jobs. It started at 4:30 am on a farm and didn't end until the next day after my shift at said farm again.
It was at about 95 hours a week.
I would just give all my jobs my schedule, and they would fill in where they needed me. Most of the time, I was living in my truck even though I had a house.
It was easier to sleep, get food, not miss work or do all the driving.
I did this for about a year. As the business got stronger, I would leave a job. Not fewer hours, just one less jobs one by one. Haha! Until I was at my business full-time. Plus, some. Haha
Now fast forward....We have been in this 6 years.
A lot has happened in the last 6 years and a lot has changed. I definitely wouldn't take any of it back.
I can't believe what we have built together. Never in my wildest dreams would I think it would be as amazing as it was.
Thank you for everything.
Your caring, your support and your kindness.
I couldn't be more blessed to have you as my customers/ family.
I hope your dogs had as much fun as I did with them. ❤️
To new chapters.
Oh, and a little secret? My kid still drives around my old truck 🥰
