Perfect Nala is still available!

Meet momma “Nala”!
If you are looking for a very sweet addition to your home, look no further!
Nala is gentle, quiet and oh so loving!
She came in with 7 kittens-all whom have found homes-and now it’s her turn for the best forever home possible!
She seems to do good with the other cats here at the shelter(she really likes Gatsby, who was featured on our page a couple weeks ago and who has yet to find a home) and dogs are unknown.

Let’s find some of these awesome cats a home for the holidays! Stop in to meet everyone and to fill out an application!😊

No one came for this super sweet and oh so submissive male puppy we are calling “Sharky”.
He is now up for adoption and you are welcome stop by and fill out our adoption application.
He is very much your typical sweet puppy energy and will be a quick learner. He doesn’t seem to have a mean bone in his body. It also seems as though whomever previously owned him must have frequently scolded him, cause he will cower at the slightest movement. 🙁
He will be great with other dogs(really wants Ranger to play with him…to which, Ranger says no😉) and seems playful with the kitties as well.
If you are interested in meeting Sharky, we can set up a time for his foster to bring him back to the shelter.

This cat was just brought to us tonight. They were trying to get inside of someone’s house on the end of the Waldo Road in Two Harbors.
He/she has obviously made themselves right at home with us…😆😆😆

Meet “Steve”!
We are looking for a special home for our special Steve. Unfortunately, while he was getting neutered and vaccinated, it was discovered that he was FIV positive. Many years ago this would have made for a not-so-good outcome for cats like Steve. But lots of has been learned about this immune disease.
With this being said, we are looking for a home where Steve is an only kitty, as it is contagious via bite/scratch. And Steve will never-EVER-be allowed outside ever again.
Now, about Steve’s personality. He is a TOTAL love bug. He is so cuddly, extremely gentle and literally just wants attention all day. He also loves to chirp at you. And did we mention he is absolutely stunning?! He will make someone an amazing companion!
If you, or someone you know, is looking for an inside only, friendly guy…send them our way!
We also recommend googling or talking to your vet about FIV. There is lots of helpful information out there!
One last thing. Steve was found as a stray on the Stanley Road in Two Harbors. If you happen to have outdoor cats and live in this area, we highly recommend you get your cats tested. As mentioned, this is a contagious disease.

LCHS WISH LIST:
It’s very busy over here at the shelter!
Because of this, we are going through lots of food, litter and cleaning products. We are running low on Dawn dish soap, antibacterial hand soap, hard cat and kitten food and canned cat and kitten food.
Also, if you would like to donate bags of dog or cat food to our food assistance program, we know our local community members appreciate any help they can get. Even if you have any half opened bags of food that your dog or cat won’t eat, we will take it!
We have had a few phone calls this week asking if we have any extra bags of food to spare. And we would rather help them out, versus them feeling like they have to surrender their pet.

We are all in this together…thanks for the support!💪🏻

Update: we found out helpful information that this cat was actually dropped off to us by her owner. They lied and said they found her at the wayside.

This tabby was just brought in to us by a driver passing the Sugar Loaf Cove wayside rest in Schroeder.

ALSO, our kennels are FULL! We are not currently taking any strays or owner surrenders. We need to adopt out some of our cats before we can open up our intake again.
