Happy belated birthday to 2 of our favorite people. First, Mrs. Lily who took some important time off to celebrate the birth of her first child. Your daughter is a beautiful as you!
Second Happy birthday to one of our very hard working CVTs, Samantha. You bring so much warmth, knowledge, and compassion to not only us, your coworkers but also to your patients. You are so gifted and invaluable to your veterinary family. Thanks for all you do.

Tiny chip. Big peace of mind. 🏠✨ With the 4th of July around the corner and one of the busiest times of year for lost pets - now is the perfect time to make sure your pet’s microchip information is up to date.

Only 6 in 10 microchips are registered. If your pet already has a microchip, we can scan it to help you verify the information linked to it. If they aren’t microchipped yet, our team is happy to help before the holiday festivities begin.

Seems accurate 🤔😊

Every walk with him is a small adventure. What should be a quick bathroom break transforms into an epic exploration, as he circles, sniffs, and pauses like he’s decoding the secrets of the universe. I find myself laughing, sighing, and marveling at how seriously he approaches every detail the way the wind shifts, the footprints left behind by neighbors, even the scents of people who passed by yesterday.

Even when I’m in a hurry, I can’t help but slow down to watch him savor each moment. These rituals his careful inspections, his lingering sniffs, the way he takes his time experiencing everything around him turn ordinary walks into magical, alive moments. It’s a reminder that joy and curiosity exist in the tiniest details, and he makes every stroll an adventure worth appreciating.

Dogs should NEVER ride loose in the back of a truck.

We know some dogs seem to “love it,” but it only takes one sudden stop, sharp turn, pothole, loud noise, or distraction for tragedy to happen.

A loose dog can:
🐾 Be thrown from the truck during a turn or accident
🐾 Jump out unexpectedly
🐾 Be hit by debris or other vehicles
🐾 Suffer burns and injuries from hot metal truck beds
🐾 Hang themselves if tied improperly
🐾 Become lost, injured, or killed in seconds

Even the most loyal, well-trained dog can panic or lose footing.

Every year, shelters and rescues see devastating injuries — and heartbreaking losses — from dogs riding unsecured in truck beds. Many of these accidents could have been prevented.

If your dog must ride in a truck bed, the safest options are:
✔️ Riding inside the cab
✔️ A secured crash-tested kennel anchored properly
✔️ A properly installed containment system specifically designed for truck beds

“Nothing has happened before” is not a safety plan. Protecting them means planning for the one moment something does.

They trust us to keep them safe. ❤️

Fun fact, well ok, gross fact. 🤦‍♀️ Ticks are small until they gorge themselves with blood. Could you find the ticks on the poppy seed muffin? Or did you have to blow up the picture to see them. I admit it, it's hard to find them, and having old, tired eyes like mine doesn't help! If your pet has a lovely hair coat it's the needle in a haystack situation. Even on shorthair pets they are hard to find. With our winter being what it was (nonexistent) there is a lot more ticks than normal in our area. But we have a solution for you! There are options for you to not bring any hitch hikers home after your hike or travel or play in your yard. Give us a call and we can go over them or set up an appointment for you. 208-733-1445
