I am pleased to introduce Ms. Dakota, an almost 2-year-old German wire pointer, who is up to date on shots and AKC registered. She has completed on- and off-leash obedience training, as well as some narcotics training. Unfortunately, her timidness prevented her from advancing in detection training. Dakota has interacted well with other dogs, cats, and surprisingly chickens🤣. Her only passion is pointing at and chasing butterflies. She is a sweet and endearing girl, and I hope she can find her forever home. ❤️

We are excited to announce our first ever group training class 🙂. After numerous requests, we decided to give it a shot. There is a minimum requirement of 5 people to sign up for us to officially conduct a class and only 10 spots available. Look at this cute face !! How can you resist this sweet stormi?
Stormi is the cutest little thing ever! She is a 3-year-old American Bully actively seeking her forever home. Stormi is fully housebroken and crate-trained, up to date on shots and spayed. Stormi interacts exceptionally well with cats and kids and can become protective of her little humans, but has never exhibited aggression. Unfortunately, Stormi has demonstrated reactivity towards other dogs and would be best suited as the only dog. We have been working with Stormi to manage these behaviors, but sadly, it does not completely eliminate them. If you love Stormi as much as we do and believe you would make a great fit, please reach out with any additional questions you may have. 🥰❤️

DOG TRAINING ??🤔🤔🤔
Hmmm, dog training; many people interpret these words in many different ways. Some people think, "well, the dogs are trained, they should listen, right?" Well, not exactly; so let’s break it down and provide insight into it !
•
So, the dogs are trained, right? Yes! So, they will do everything I want them to do!? Umm, no.
•
These dogs are with me between 3 and 6 weeks on very strict routines that they now have learned. These dogs have learned everything they have needed to, sit, down, stay, here, heel, no (eh-eh😆) and etc. This dog that now been with me this long knows what I expect from them from day 1. They know they cannot get by with mistakes or the bad behaviors because that’s why they are there of course!

When owners come for pick up after that 3 or 6 week course they immediately expect there dogs to listen to them but why would they ? They have gotten by not listening to YOU until now. When owners pick up I always make sure to go over what the dog can do so they see that there dog can in fact do what they were sent here to do, but then also have the owners go over what I just showed them.
•
More times than not I always tell the owner they are gonna look at me they might not listen to you but this is when the big voice has to come out ( that mama voice😉) they need to know that YOU are gonna follow exactly what they were trained on !
•
So does this mean there gonna listen to me as soon as we go home since you showed me everything!? No.. But why not? because again there are back to there environment that they know they didn’t need to listen in so you will be harder on them then ever !

NOW the dogs have done the work are YOU willing to put in the work to ?

Arya had her first vet appointment today to finish her shots 🙂 This was her first time and she did amazing !!! As you can see she was definitely bribed with some treats 🥰 Thank you Monon Veterinary Clinic for always giving our pups the best service ❤️
