⭐️Alabama Spay Neuter is supplementing the cost of spay neuter surgery on pets from qualified households.

These households can spay/neuter up to 3 pets at Alabama Spay Neuter for a copay of just $25 per pet!

Additional services (vaccinations, dewormer, microchipping, etc.) are sold separately.

⭐️Eligibility:
A family member of the household must verify current enrollment in one or more government assistance programs (e.g., Medicaid, Disability, WIC, SNAP, EBT, SSI)

⭐️Copay:
$25 per pet, due when making the appointment.

⭐️Appointments:
First come, first served, so act quickly- this won’t last long!

🐾 PAULIE UPDATE: From Broken Legs to Wiggle Worm! 🐾

Seven hours. That’s all it took for YOU—our incredible community—to raise more than enough for Paulie’s surgery and continued care. 💛 When we asked, you answered! Because of your generosity, this sweet pup with two broken legs got the chance to heal, grow, and wiggle her way toward a brighter future.

Paulie has been thriving in foster care, and while she’s still on the mend (crate rest will do that to a girl!), she’s officially out of her splints and just weeks away from being a normal, playful puppy again. Her surgeon, gave her a glowing check-up last Friday, and she’s now walking with a sling during potty breaks for a bit of support—but she’s so close to full recovery!

Her foster family shared:

“We’ve loved having her in our home, but we’re maxed out on permanent pets. She’s been amazing with our dogs, cats, and even our sulcata tortoise. She’s outgoing, gentle, and incredibly sweet. Sticks, ice, peanut butter, and toys are her favorite things—and she’s a perfect size at around 30 pounds.”

📣 Important Closing Hour Update

Tomorrow, Tuesday, August 19th, Metro Animal Shelter will be closing early at 5:00 PM due to a scheduled meeting.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and kindly ask that you plan ahead if you were hoping to visit, adopt, or drop off donations. Your understanding helps us continue improving the care and services we provide to our animals and community 💙
