How I feel about Daylight Savings this weekend…….

Why do I dislike it? Because it means we lose daylight in the afternoon therefore….. this week is the LAST week for lessons until spring.

Welp, definitely getting some moisture!! Lessons today are a no go, tomorrow we shall see how much moisture we have received on if we can safely ride in arena.

Least it won’t be dusty!!!

Got the arena worked yesterday for lessons!!

HOWEVER we will be watching weather as they are calling for some severe storms this week. May be play by ear BUT your safety always come first!!

What a beautiful morning it is!

This week is looking great for lessons! I desperately need to work the arena hopefully this evening. 🤞🏼🤞🏼

Today will NOT be available as we have Parent/Teacher Conferences.

Holy rain!!!

Much needed but maybe earlier in the spring/summer!

Our roads are extremely slick and messy, arena is soggy. Definitely no lessons until they dry!!

Wes on Mushu and Whitney in Rio were representing our youth rodeo group Gyp Hills Youth Rodeo today at the Medicine Lodge Peace Treaty Parade!! They braved the rain and chaos!

Rio has been used for Peace Treaty before on outriding (wagon trail) so she was solid!

The shocker: Mushu!! Never been in that type of parade before with guns and wagons, only his second parade ever. He did amazing with Wes! Little antsy with a car behind us but he didn’t freak out with the guns or loud noises! He was solid for Wesson!

Wahoo!!!!!! Those temps are starting to look soooooo much better!!! Maybe we can get a few lessons in!!!

Eyeballing those 9/15 & 9/17 dates!!

Bring the RAIN and cooler temps!!! For crying out loud it’s the start of the “ber” months, better start having those nicer cooler temps showing up. 😎

Welp I’m just gonna go ahead and say it:::

IT’S TOO DANG HOT AND IT’S ABSOLUTELY DOWN RIGHT MISERABLE, NOT TO MENTION DISGUSTING!!!!!!

So again NO LESSONS UNTIL IT COOLS OFF

This is a safety for both riders and horses. Especially when the horses are already been sweating from the heat. Not going to add a pad and saddle to the mix for extra heat.

Sorry everyone!! Start doing a rain dance or weather dance for more fall like weather!!

Whew man, this is how you know it’s hot and humid!! 🥵

Poor boys have been sweating just being in the pens. Girls too and they have more air flow!!

This is the reason I’ve chosen to hold off on lessons. No wind, no shade, we would be baking in that arena.

Come on fall weather!! We need a nice little cool down!!
