Ehhhh (like a goat)……have you heard the news??

Dot says you need to come see the horses and the crew at the Pratt County Fair!! She says it’s the best thing ever and every little girls dream to ride a horse!

July 23rd thru the 26th!

She also says “you cannot hold us accountable for the obsession once it’s starts! It’s not our fault!” 😂🤣

Paddock 4 is done and horses moved into it!! Hallelujah!! One major big project is done!!!!

📣📣📣We will be at the Pratt County Fair again this year!!! 📣📣📣

But in order to run smoothly, I’m going to ask some of my previous riders/current riders if they would like to assist me this year! 🤠 Age needs to be 12 and up.

Tasks will include:
🔹 Brushing horses out and placing pads on horses as I saddle, also helping unsaddle.
🔹 Scooping up manure in walking area and rest area.
🔹 Leading horses in ring for the ride.
🔹 Helping with mounts and dismounts.
🔹 Working the walk thru gate/keeping riders in order.
🔹 Making sure the horses have water and get drinks.

If your kiddo is interested, please reach out to me! Whoever helps, when lessons open back up, first 4 will be free!!

Also if a parent would like to assist with taking money and getting waivers signed, I would appreciate that too!! It’s a lot and can be hot, but the smiles are worth it!

👚👕I will have different sizes of shirts available to wear if you help! They can be yours to keep when done 😊

We are looking for sponsors for this upcoming rodeo season!

Little background here: Gyp Hills Youth Rodeo is a small but extremely family friendly and local rodeo for 18 and under. This rodeo was started down in Medicine Lodge but we are currently moving this to the Pratt area in hopes for more opportunity of family’s joining as it will be little more centrally located. This is a great outlet for kids and at the end of the season prizes and awards are won!
We all encourage each other and help one another. The kids work so hard and accomplish goals at every rodeo!

Best part of sponsoring: you get to help with prizes and awards!! The more sponsors we can get, the better the prizes for those cowboys and cowgirls!! You will also get a shout out on the page and if you have a banner you would like hung on fence, let me know!

Whew last night was CrAzY!! 😵‍💫

That tornado was maybe 5 miles from us, we could see it! Too close for comfort that’s for sure! A couple of our friends had close calls but are safe. A family friend took a hit but somehow it went between the house and barn, they are ok!

The town north of us wasn’t so lucky but thankfully no injuries or deaths reported! Ample warning given and they were definitely prepared.

Round two tonight is sounds like, you never know with this weather what could happen. Stay alert, stay safe!

Beautiful rain we are having!!! Much needed for our pastures! Grass needs to GROW! Then again it’s not like we don’t have 8 head of horses 😵‍💫😖😅 Round bales have been our very expensive friends.

Hopefully if weather plays nice we can start marking out where arena will go and getting all the panels unloaded. Other BIG project that will need to happen first is pasture 3 getting fenced off. Busy weekend ahead most likely after we spend sometime with our kiddo! (Poor kid has put up with us moving, mass cleaning, etc. and him unfortunately on the back burner.)

He is enjoying horse practices though! Hopefully we get to make the funshow this month and not be rained out again!

Sometimes you just have to take time to do the things you want to do!!

Mushu and I went to the All Women’s Trail Ride in the Gyp Hills yesterday. We went all day! Are we sunburnt? Yes! Was it worth it? Most definitely!! Do I know how many miles we covered? NOPE! 🤣😂

Definitely enjoy every time we go!

The secret is out!! And it’s exciting!!

It’s going to be so wonderful having the arena back up and horses in one area again 🩵 I cannot wait to start lessons up again once able too! So much to do before then but it will be worth it!!

May have to do a “clean up day” to help remove limbs and trees from the area the arena will go up in if anyone is willing!

It’s been a very long and difficult road, and we still have a ways to go. But I am so grateful for this opportunity and I can not wait for the day when I can say “WE ARE OPEN FOR LESSONS!” 🩵🖤🩵🖤 so keep holding faith because it will be soon!

🎉🎉🎉Happy 5th birthday Copers!!! 🎉🎉🎉

You’re still a hot mess, worse than a clingy ex, more annoying than a gnat, a heart as big as Texas, and just as loyal as a canine. Wouldn’t trade you for the world!

Thank you for helping Wes gain confidence in his riding and being solid when I need you. But most of all, thank you for being my rope when I’m in hole.
