Hi friends! We have recently had a lot of requests on our TikTok to see how some of the cats that were adopted are doing. If you adopted a cat from us and have a cute update we would love to hear it! And if you have any videos or pictures you don't mind being shared please send them our way!

Our very own cafe cat Goblin Baby just celebrated her second gotcha day which is CRAZY- she is living her best spoiled rotten little diva life (picture in comments).

If you haven't heard Amory Humane Society has gotten some rough news about their lovely director- if you feel inclined to help please see their page.

Also Peace Love and Wet Noses just shared a post about an 11 year old cat up for adoption at PetSmart and y'all if I didn't already have four cats....SOMEONE GO GET THAT BABY!!

Well, that's all folks! Today 9/7 will be our last day "open" as we have just a few random items still available.

To celebrate and reminisce we would love for anyone who has adopted from us these last few years to share an update on this post. We'll go first: here's Goblin Baby, the naughtiest cat to ever come through our doors, enjoying some outside harness time. We hope you love your cafe cat as much as we love ours.

Little Miss Muffet has been adopted and well folks- that's a wrap! I can't type how I feel about it- I'll start weeping again. We are very proud of her.

We will still be open selling stuff out of the building. We have chairs, desks, side tables, and a lot of random cat bits and bobs.

Almost every item is $1 $5 or $10. It's basically a yard sale! Captain Janeway and Toucan Sam will be here to keep you company as they await their surgery dates before they can officially go home to their new families.

We will be opening LATE today at 1PM. Little Miss Muffet is the final cat, and we are very picky about where she goes.

All fees are waived including admission. We'll have furniture, cat stuff, and business stuff for sale! Feel free to come poke around!

Cranky Pants, Loaf, and Dumpling all got homes today! And with Captain Janeway and Toucan Sam spoken for and waiting on surgery day that just leaves Little Miss Muffet all by her lonesome. The very last cat! She's the only one who still needs a home!

And what a good one she is. Whoever adopts her will need to be able to see what a lovely little creature she is. This is a special kitty.

We will be open tomorrow with LMM, Captain, and Toucan to keep you company and lots of different stuff for you to look at to buy. EVERYTHING is for sale. And everything is cheap. Some come poke your head in and say goodbye 👋

Pizza was not a fan of her adoption cake- she says she prefers chocolate!!!

Once again admission is free because we only have 4 cats left! Loaf has been claimed, as has Captain Janeway. Still waiting for a good home we have:
Little Miss Muffet the best weirdo cat in the world
Dumpling the playful goofball
Toucan Sam the sweetheart biscuit maker
Cranky Pants the only child with a heart of gold

All adoption fees are waived and everything in the building is for sale. Cats and merchandise is all first come first serve.

We will be open today from 12-6 and admission is now optional! We'd love for you to come out and give these last few babies some love. ALL ADOPTION FEES ARE WAIVED!!

We will be selling EVERYTHING in the building from cat toys to human furniture to business and storage stuff. Come by and peruse our wares!

Some info about the cats still available

Cranky Pants: Female | 1y | Tortie-tude
-not actually that cranky, just needs to be in an only cat household
-loves to hug and play
-complete with a tragic backstory

Pizza: Female | 3y | Sweet
-loves you and food
-a classic sweet and lazy love bug

Little Miss Muffet: Female | 2ish? | Weirdo
-our longest resident and personal project
-this is Connor's favorite cat, she is such a special and silly girl
-former feral

Loaf: Male | 1y | Shy Siamese
-VERY nervous with a rumbling purr
-takes a bit to warm up, but loves a good head scratch

Dumpling: Female | 3y | Playful
-LOVES toys
-a real goofball and super sweet
-much prettier in person

Toucan Sam: Female | 1y | Gentle
-our newest resident, still needs a few medical procedures but you can put her on hold or foster her until she is done
-soft little sweetheart with white boots

We are overwhelmed with the outpouring of support we have received. EVERY cat has been sponsored for adoption. Which means ALL FEES ARE WAIVED!! There has never been a better time to come meet your new best friend.

Admission into the cat lounge is still currently $11/person. The website is not currently up to date with all available cats- please be patient with us as we fix this. If you have questions about a specific cat or temperament feel free to send us a message!

And remember that we will be closing permanently once all the cats are adopted- so don't dilly or dally!

There is no easy way to say this, so we will go ahead and rip the bandaid off: The Twisted Whisker will be closing permanently on October 31st or when all the cats are adopted, whichever comes first.

Unfortunately it is no longer financially feasible for us to continue. Any small business venture is a risk- and with the recession, our new baby, and increasing costs there is just no way to make it happen.

We are very proud of what we have accomplished here. We are grateful for 200+ adoptions, all the furry friends we've made,our wonderful regulars, and all the lessons learned along the way.

We hope if you visited that you felt welcomed, that your heart and lap were warmed, and that you left just a little bit happier than you came in.

We will be accepting visitors until there are no more cats. Everything in the building will be for sale- from cat toys to furniture to shelving for $1, $5, or $10 depending on it's value. Anyone with a shelter or a small rescue in need of supplies- message us so we can donate what we have.

If you want us to go out strong here are some ways you can help:
Adopt a cat
Sponsor a cat's adoption and waive their fee ($100)
Visit one or two or three last times
Donate directly: these donations will be used to pay for adoption fees, veterinary bills, last minute cat care, etc.
