Per Mr. Phillips,

We weighed Poppy after one week. She went from 33.2 to 37 lbs. she hasn’t been over eating, just 3-3 1/2 cups a day. She’s still doing great! Here’s her personality.

GOD keeps sending us the best! We are grateful!

Per Mr. Phillips,

Poppy is doing great! Still going to the back door when she needs to go out. She’s doing great on the leash. We switched to a retractable leash, which made it better, she doesn’t get tangled up. I’ll use it for awhile until we get ready to train her. Right now, we’re just letting her get used to things.Still getting belly rubs.

P.S. Mrs. Phillips is doing the belly rubbing! I cannot wait to show my grandlove-Brook!

Yes, we totally agree!

A dog that protects its home shouldn't be treated like a threat. Rottweilers are loyal, protective, and built to guard the people they love. If one steps in to stop an intruder, that's not aggression that's instinct doing exactly what it's supposed to do.

Rottweilers get a bad reputation they don't deserve. People call them naturally aggressive, but that's not how it works a dog's temperament comes down to training, socialization, and how it's raised, not its breed.

The "locking jaw" myth needs to go too. No dog has a locking jaw mechanism. A Rottweiler's bite works exactly like any other dog's.

Yes, they can be unpredictable but so can any dog without proper training. That's not a breed problem, that's an ownership problem. And banning a breed doesn't fix bad ownership; it just punishes good dogs for other people's mistakes.

The truth is, Rottweilers are loyal, intelligent, and genuinely eager to please. With the right training and care, they make confident, gentle, and dependable companions.

Judge the dog in front of you, not the stereotype. 🐾
