Meet Stormy 🥹
This sweet senior kitty was found wandering the streets during a heavy downpour late Tuesday night. Kind Good Samaritans brought her to us on Wednesday for a checkup, and her condition was truly heartbreaking.
At just 5 pounds, Stormy was more matted fur than cat. The severe matting was so extensive that she had to be sedated in order to be safely shaved and finally relieved of the painful burden she had been carrying.
Beneath the mats, we discovered multiple wounds and areas of irritated, damaged skin caused by the tight, tangled fur. Stormy is now receiving antibiotics, pain medication, and plenty of TLC as she begins her journey toward healing.
Despite everything she’s endured, Stormy has remained incredibly sweet and affectionate. We’re so grateful to the kind people who stopped to help her, and we’re committed to giving her the comfort and care she deserves as she recovers.
