Here at Doggone Fun!, we believe daycare is more than just a place to play, it’s also an opportunity for enrichment and learning! We provide our clients with a safe, clean, and enriching environment that is constantly supervised by experienced attendants. Our goal is to fulfill your dog’s social, mental and physical needs through supervised play, plenty of physical exercise, fun puzzles and games

reinforcement training. opened in 1999 and was one of the first dog daycares in the Portland Metro area. The owner, Cinthia Mitchell, has a degree in Biology and 40 years’ experience as an animal trainer. She started her career as a marine mammal trainer and has spent the past 23 years working with dogs. As
one of the pioneers of the enrichment movement she also co-authored the book “Beyond Squeaky Toys: innovative ideas for eliminating problem behaviors and enriching the lives of dogs and cats” Her book is one of the first on environmental enrichment for dogs and cats. Cinthia strongly believes that an educated staff is key to a well-managed pack. She personally trains each staff member in dog behavior management, play style, and behavior modification with an emphasis on animal safety and well-being. From scent work to puzzle challenges, this workshop is all about having fun while giving your dog a job to do.
2. RELIABLE RECALLS- AUGUST 9th

3. INTRO TO TRICKS - Start your dog’s trick training journey! This beginner-level session introduces fun and simple tricks like “shake,”
“spin,” and “touch.” It’s a great way to boost your dog’s confidence, focus, and bond with you. Each session will cover different tricks.

We’re thrilled to welcome Quinn to the Doggone Fun Doggy Daycare family as our new dog trainer!

Quinn brings a wealth of experience in positive reinforcement training and a genuine passion for helping dogs and their humans build clear, trusting communication. From puppy basics to addressing reactivity and leash manners, she’s here to help your pup thrive both at home and in our daycare environment.

✨ A little about Quinn:
Her journey in animal care began at the Pasadena Humane Society, where she served as a Dog Behavior Specialist providing enrichment and training for shelter animals, including dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, and even reptiles

Quinn has taught both private and group training classes and has a special passion for helping dogs and their families navigate challenges with fear, reactivity, and aggression using positive, force-free methods. She has completed advanced coursework in dog aggression and defensive handling and is certified in Fear Free and Low Stress Handling techniques, ensuring your dog’s emotional well-being during training.

🐶 Whether you want to sharpen your pup’s skills or work on specific behaviors, Quinn is ready to help. Private lessons are already available (feel free to take a look on Gingr!) and keep an eye out for upcoming group classes and dedicated workshops we have staring later this month!
