Meet Caspian👑🐕

Caspian is a 2 year old show line German Shepherd, and he is just as stunning as he is strong. His family loves him deeply and recognized he needed help getting into a calmer, more neutral headspace.

On leash, he was coming in hot. Strong, reactive, and overwhelmed, which is not a great mix at his size. His reactions were fierce. Snapping, lunging, pulling, barking. All of it. By the end of his very first day at Dr. Kiwi’s Elite Retreat, we were able to safely remove the muzzle and have him both on and off leash around my three dogs with zero aggression.

What we’re seeing with Caspian is fear based reactivity from a lack of proper socialization, both on leash and off. Once we introduced clear communication, structure, and the right tools like a Herm Sprenger and Educator collar, everything started to click. In the beginning, he needed stronger corrections than an average pup. But as the reaction starts to fade, so does the correction strength and amount! He is such an intelligent boy who wants to learn!

He didn’t need to be “fixed.” He needed clarity.

His owners are doing everything right, and it shows. Caspian is already on track to be an even more solid, confident dog than he was before.

Working dogs save lives!!🐾✨💗🐕‍🦺🐕🦮

Kiwi and Gigi had a little working girl outing at La Encantada, grabbing ice cream while sharpening their skills in a real-world setting. Gigi also learned how to safely load and unload on an escalator, which is huge for preventing injury and building confidence.

She’s getting ready to take her therapy dog certification test with her handler, and the consistency in their work, both with me and on their own, is really showing. Proud of these girls. Keep it up!✨🩷

Koa is thriving in his new home. From being returned to the shelter twice to stepping into protection work, this dog is a force.
Progress like this doesn’t happen by chance.

Roxie came to me reactive, overstimulated, and struggling to stay engaged, and no prior training had really clicked for her until we changed the approach completely. Instead of forcing a system that did not fit her style, we built the training around how she learns by combining obedience with fun obstacles to keep her engaged and confident. She is now able to go through obstacles with my cat and Dr. Kiwi herself actively being around her, acting as distractions!

We are not done yet, but the progress she is making is consistent and promising, and it is allowing us to keep building real results. This is what happens when you meet the dog where they are and train the dog in front of you.

We’ve worked on muzzle conditioning, confidence building, desensitization, and science-based nervous system regulation after his past experiences. He’s sensitive, intelligent, and will thrive in a structured, committed home.

“Oreo (Ori) is A849123 at PACC. He’s an altered male, 1.5 years old, Spanish Greyhound mix, ~40 lbs, fully vaccinated, and in foster since 11/17. He’s energetic, smart, and very sweet.

He loves car rides, evening cuddles, and does best with routine and structure. He is crate trained, potty trained for a yard with a 6ft+ fence, and leash training is improving. He trains daily and weekly with a certified trainer and learns very quickly.

Ori would do best as the only dog. Absolutely no cats ever. He may do well with an altered, non-dominant dog with proper introductions and protocols. Kids 10+.

He is an indoor dog due to his short coat, gets cold easily, is a heavy chewer (but not destructive), and is very food motivated.

This is not a first-time dog owner dog, but he has incredible potential in the right home.”

🍓 2026 pricing update 🍓

I wanted to share that my updated pricing for 2026 will officially go into effect next week. This was something I have been open about going into the new year and it reflects another year of growth, experience, and continued education.

I am always open to feedback and conversations and I am more than willing to work with clients when it comes to financial stress around training. My goal has always been to keep training accessible while still providing the level of care, structure, and consistency your dogs deserve.

I’ve been a little quiet on here lately, but not because things slowed down. It’s been the opposite!

So here’s an update:)

This is the pack. Kiwi, Calypso, and officially introducing Koa 💙

Koa is a Malinois mix (DNA results pending) who was returned to PACC for behavioral concerns and labeled a throwaway. He’s only been with us about a month, and he’s already proving how wrong that label was. He’s confident, feisty, and absolutely thriving in personal protection work. No hesitation and very ready to handle the bad guys 😈 His genetics run deep.

And of course Kiwi, still the face of the company. Dr. Kiwi’s… peep the merch 🩷😉 She’s my perfect service dog & angel baby, confident as ever, and has been incredibly welcoming of her new (chaotic) working K9 brother. Watching her step into that calm big sister role has been really special.

Behind the scenes of training, I just finished semester 1 out of 4 in my Master’s program in Immunobiology at the University of Arizona College of Medicine. It’s been a season of long days, growth, and learning how to balance school&research with training dogs at a high level.

The business has been full and moving beautifully. I have several active clients right now making amazing progress in their programs, and getting to watch these dogs gain confidence and clarity never gets old. It’s what keeps me training while pursuing human medicine.

This page started with cute dog posts, but it’s always been about intention, structure, and giving dogs the chance to succeed when the right guidance is in place. That part hasn’t changed.

As we move into the next year, I’ll be opening a limited number of spots for 2026. If you’ve been thinking about training and waiting for the right time, this is your sign to reach out.
