🐾💕 A LITTLE PUPPY WAIT LIST UPDATE 💕🐾
Since sharing the exciting news that both Ginny & Josie are confirmed pregnant, I have been receiving many messages through social media, texts, phone calls and emails. I truly appreciate everyone’s excitement and enthusiasm for these upcoming babies! 💗
I do want to take a moment to clarify a few things and kindly ask for everyone’s patience during the weeks ahead.
Our wait list is already quite long. Those who have completed a puppy questionnaire, have been approved and are currently on our list know who they are. At this time, please don’t message asking where you are on the wait list. There are simply too many unknowns right now for me to give anyone an accurate answer.
Right now, all we have confirmed is that Ginny & Josie are pregnant. We do not know how many puppies they are carrying, nor can we determine the sexes ahead of time. Later in pregnancy, we will do X-rays to get an approximate head count. This is primarily for the health and safety of my girls and to help me know how many puppies we need to safely get on the ground during delivery.
Even then, nothing is certain until the puppies are born, alive, healthy and thriving. ❤️ I’ve been breeding for over 20 years, and one thing experience has taught me is that Mother Nature is ultimately in charge. I’m not God, and I cannot predict what each litter will bring.
I also want to explain our puppy selection process. The pick male and pick female from each litter are the only puppies chosen by their new families. I personally match the remaining puppies with their families. By the time we begin selections at approximately 6½–7 weeks old, I have spent 24/7 with these babies since the moment they were born. I know their personalities, temperaments, energy levels and individual needs.
I use everything you shared on your puppy questionnaire, along with our phone or in-person conversations, to make the best possible match. I consider whether you have children, other pets, a busy household, a quieter or retired lifestyle, and whether you are hoping for a more active or laid-back companion. My goal has always been to place the right puppy with the right family—not simply assign puppies according to a number on a list. 🐾❤️
For now, my greatest priority is Ginny & Josie. They are just getting over their morning sickness and require a tremendous amount of hands-on care. I don’t feed kibble, so they are either raw fed or I prepare wholesome, home-cooked meals for them at least twice a day, along with snacks and sometimes a third meal. They also need daily exercise and conditioning to help keep them strong and healthy in preparation for delivery.
So for the next few weeks, I’m asking everyone to please be patient and allow me to focus my time and energy where it belongs—on my pregnant mamas and their babies. 💕🐾
There will be plenty of updates along the way, and once these precious babies are safely here, healthy and thriving, we will know so much more.
Thank you for your excitement, your patience, your understanding, and most of all, for trusting me with something as important as choosing the newest member of your family. ❤️
For now… we’re taking it one day at a time and giving Ginny & Josie all the love and care they deserve. 🐾💕🐾
