FOSTER TRANSFER NEEDED ASAP :
Help, have had Miranda, distemper, for over three months, and needs to be tested again early July but have to leave town in two weeks for most of summer.
Looking for continuing medical foster or adoption. Below is her current online description under PACC foster adoptable's
with a few updates.

Miranda is very people-oriented, has been only friendly to strangers whether it be male or female. She has never barked at the door (just wags her tail and greets politely) and enjoys affection. Due to her distemper quarantine, we have not been able to get her out in public and have not observed how she reacts with young children. She's been non-destructive when left alone for up to 5 hours unkennelled. She likes routine and has a gentle personality. She recently learned to play fetch bringing the ball back to trade for a treat and has learned sit, sit pretty, wait, and relax. Miranda LOVES being outside sitting on the patio waiting for a lizard to run by. We initially had her sleeping in her crate, which was in our bedroom with the door open but she was always found curled up at the end of our bed in the morning. She is quiet and doesn't move around, so she now spends the whole night in the middle, at the end of the bed.
Miranda has not had a dog to play with since we fostered her. She whines when she sees other dogs being walked and really wants to join them. We believe that a home with another dog and a dog door would serve her well. She goes in/out of our magnetic screen door with no problem. If the door is shut, she will sit in front of it (if we do not see her, she will let out a bark). We initially showed her where to go potty and she always goes directly there.
She has anxiety issues concerning some environmental sounds like the vacuum cleaner or blow dryer on high. She is currently on a Prozac prescription from PACC. We feel that Top Dogs would be able to give some direction to help Miranda's anxiety with a few things. Jet trails in the sky may get her pacing anxiously (planes do not bother her) but current medications have helped her with these challenges.
When she was at PACC she was reported to be gentle in play. Miranda is a perfect size, medium approximately 45 lbs. We put her harness on and leash her up for occasional walks in the back yard. She leashes up perfectly and is well behaved on the leash.
We have become very attached to Miranda. She is not a dog that needs to be entertained or played with all the time. She is happy napping, or chilling, and will come and check on us during the day. She loves to be petted and has become much more affection over the months we've had her. She is very sweet and very adorable. Basically an easy dog who needs to be distemper free so she can take walks, play with other dogs, meet new people...be a normal dog!
If you would like more information or have any questions, we encourage you to call her foster dad, Dave @ 520-369-0971 or email at [email protected] . "
Miranda has been couped up in our house and backyard since she got distemper, over 3 months ago. It was last tested "low" so she's almost there. PLEASE HELP HER SO SHE DOES NOT HAVE TO GO BACK TO PACC AND BE QUARANTINED IN A ROOM WHEN THERE NOT ANY AVAILABLE RIGHT NOW. We have changed our vacation plans several times, hoping that we could see her through distemper and get her adopted, but we unfortunately have to leave soon.
