We've just been busy bees taking care of critical animals but it's about time for a fundraiser and what better excuse than Halloween?!

Haven't posted in forever--first by accident and then intentionally because our heads are down doing the work which is unrelenting and overwhelming. We have a huge existing, long-term client base which we are beholden to, as well as fulfilling requests for support made by our vets, volunteers, donors, etc. It's 10:37 and I just met up with a Good Samaritan who took in kittens from a relative's colony. They have upper respiratory infections and gooey, swollen eyes. We've loaned a baby scale to get weights to starts oral meds and provided antibiotic ointment and antiviral drops for their eyes, as well as some lysine powder. Tomorrow we'll coordinate vet care. There's no regular hours in animal welfare and rescue and the endless need creeps in to nearly every aspect of one's life. I miss you, I respect you, I care for you and hope you are, each and all, holding up as best as you can during such uniquely challenging times.

We are always accepting donations for our booth at Midtown Mercantile Merchants, for auctions/raffles, Flealess Markets etc. Your donations help us tremendously and are so deeply appreciated. This year we're offering up a box full of home made, festive, vegan, retro cookies (and some other surprise goodies 😉). Just $30 gets you a box to share and helps us continue our life saving work.

Remember the kitty famous for chewing the bible? Look at her penchant for crossing her paws. She needs our help finding a home! Her current home is in foreclosure and her person is moving out of state to live with a family member. Yasmine has already been through alot in life. Before landing at the county animal care and control facility, her first family was a young mother who traveled for work and was gone 4 days of the week. Yasmine was bonded with the child. She was then rescued from a shelter deadline by adopters, an older married couple, and was very close with the man. After his passing she reverted to being a loner, with the exception of another cat she snuggles up with. Do you know anyone with a peaceful home that can provide Yasmine the sanctuary she deserves and where she can take the time she needs to adjust to newness? Please do share and interested parties willing to foster or adopt, message us for more information!

Check out the ahhhh-mazing vegan Tricks and Treats boxes our crafty coven of volunteers made!! They're definitely bewitchin' in the kitchen. We'll have another holiday box coming sometime in December so keep an eye peeled for that. As always, thank you for your support of our work with in need and at risk animals.

HELP NEEDED! A longtime colony caregiver is moving out of state and is looking for people to assist in providing feedings in the Kolb/Golf Links area. Is there anyone in the vicinity willing to consider taking even a single weekly shift? Please message us for more information. Food can be provided and we can put you in direct touch with the two folks who best know the colony. There has been significant TNR in the area and Tucson CARES took in a critical cat from the colony who is now thriving.
