Every Sunday I sit down with my calendar.
First I put in everything personal and family related. Those appointments go in first (not last) because if I don't protect that time before the week fills up, it disappears.
Then I add my work appointments: the meetings, calls, and things that are already committed and on the books.
And then I block out dedicated focused time for the things that actually need my full attention. The work that moves my practice forward but never feels urgent enough to prioritize in the moment.
That's what helped me stop feeling so chaotic and scattered as a CEO.
Because when Monday morning comes, I'm not starting my week trying to figure out where everything fits.
I'm not reacting to whatever shows up first and hoping I get to the important stuff eventually.
I already know exactly what the week looks like and where my time is going.
And the things that aren't urgent?
I don't have to carry them around in the back of my mind all week wondering when I'll get to them. I already set aside time for them. That mental freedom alone is worth the thirty minutes it takes every Sunday.
If you're a practice owner whose weeks feel chaotic, reactive, and like you never get to the things that actually matter try this one easy system.
And if you want to go deeper on getting your time back, join me June 2nd.
I'm teaching the full time audit process that shows you exactly where your hours are going and how to take them back (for free!).
