Just finished a quick study of this copper pot in pastels. Love painting metal objects! This will be one of my class demos in my 3-day pastel workshop that starts tomorrow at the CPAC or Community Performing Arts Center of Green Valley. I am so looking forward to this! :)

"Radiant" is my latest commissioned portrait. I was a surprise, so I was not able to publish this till today. It was done with PanPastel on paper (16"x20"). This was her wedding photo, a happy and glowing bride! I hope you all like it.

It has been a while since I posted a painting. This is what happens when you are working 3 paintings at the same time! Yikes. Here is one: "Desert Bouquet" (oil on canvas, 12"x12"). These are the breathtaking prickly pear blooms we have in Arizona! It will be on display at the Cactus Wren Art Gallery as soon as it is framed! More coming soon! ;)

What a fun evening at our Paint and Sip event today(at the Cactus Wren Art Gallery). We had a fabulous time and painted a beautiful sunset seascape. Everyone did a wonderful job!

Sharing with you fantastic news! Starting on 2025 I will be teaching drawing and painting workshops at the TUBAC SCHOOL OF FINE ARTS! I have recently been accepted as an instructor! Yay! Teaching in this great institution has been my goal for some time, and I am beyond happy! I can't hardly believe it! :)

We had so much fun on our first Sip and Paint event, that we are scheduling another one on September 21st 5:30-8:30PM, at the Cactus Wren Gallery (please, contact Gale Thomssen to register). We will provide wine and all the supplies! Bring a friend or two! :) We will be painting this "Sunset over Sea" using acrylics. I hope to see you there!
