Dirty Dawgs Pet Care Tucson is looking for a part-time Kennel Assistant & Facility Support team member. We have two locations (Boarding and Daycare on Tyndall Ave and a DIY Dog Wash on Campbell Ave).
Pay: $16.00 – $18.00/hour to start based on experience, with opportunity for raises of at least $1.00/hour-$2.00/hour after your probationary period based on performance, experience, and PT/FT preference. Hours: Part-time for now (0-24 hours/week), with the opportunity to move to Full-Time if desired after the 90-day probation. Full-time positions include health insurance and 401(k) benefits. Location: Split between our Tyndall Ave daycare and Campbell Ave dog wash.
🐾This role is focused heavily on the daily operations, sanitation, and organization required to keep a pet care facility running safely. You will start by mastering facility maintenance and assisting with client services before moving into direct dog handling. Receptionist duties will not be required of this position.
*What You’ll Do*
🐾Cleaning and Organizing: Focus on thorough daily cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, deep cleaning, vacuuming kennels, and managing ongoing laundry.
🐾Facility Support: Assist other staff with daily tasks and help maintain a highly organized environment.
🐾Dog Wash Operations: Assist clients at our self-serve dog wash location, follow posted wash protocols, and keep shampoo stations refilled and clean.
🐾Documentation: Use our digital program to track tasks and complete required facility reports.
🐾Future Advancement: Once facility maintenance is mastered, you will be fully trained on our official dog handling procedures and Dog Handler Academy protocols to safely transition into direct pet care.

🐾Reliable transportation is required.
🐾A background check is required.
🐾Must be able to lift 40 lbs and work independently.
🐾Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments.
🐾Must be attentive, reliable, and maintain a professional attitude.
🐾Must wear closed-toed shoes; no long, sharp, or artificial nails, and no large hoop earrings for safety.
🐾Ability to complete mandatory company-provided pet CPR and First Aid training when advancing.
🐾Strict zero-tolerance policy for reporting to work under the influence or smelling of ma*****na or cigarette smoke.
🐾Subject to a 90-day probationary period.
