The Southern Arizona Animal Food Bank came about because of a separate, but shared, dream from Donna DeConcini & Margaux DeConcini. Donna DeConcini and her daughter Margaux had a desire to help with the abandonment of farm and ranch animals and set up the nonprofit Food For Horses in 2014. Food For Horses was designed to assist for a period of 90 days with food and vet care in an effort to keep t
hose animals with their owners. To assist in raising funds they put together the Tucson Food Truck Rally where a portion of the proceeds were designated to Southern Arizona Animal Food Bank nonprofit. SAAFB formed in 2015 as a donation & distribution center to help animal owners not have to make a choice to feed their families or feed their pets. As of January, 2025, SAAFB has collected & distributed over 200,000 pounds of animal food. We have distributed food to all of Southern Arizona's families in need, the homeless, Gospel Rescue Mission, Hermitage Cat Shelter, Sister Jose Women's Shelter & Veterans with service animals. We partner with other great Southern Arizonan warriors for pets like the Tucson Action Team, Old Pueblo Vet and numerous rescue groups. We have also provided leashes, collars, coats, beds & boots, food bowls and so much more. SAAFB's mission now is to put a shot & spayed & neuter mobile unit together that can travel throughout Pima County to help other communities. Grant Rd Ste. #116 (just west of Swan)
Thank you for your time and support of SAAFB. We couldn’t help the ones that can't speak for themselves without your generosity. Donna DeConcini
