Baby, it's cold outside...
To help cats stay as safe as possible in the cold weather, keep them inside if they live with you. Make sure that you pound on the hood of your car and/or honk the horn before starting the engine to avoid harming cats that may be seeking warmth under the hood or in the wheel wells and do the same before starting a tractor or enclosed generator. While controversial in some places, providing food, shelter, and access to water for stray/feral cats can also help them through periods when the thermometer drops.
