BBQ season is officially here… and so are the “I swear I didn’t eat anything off the grill” faces. 🌭🐾🔥
While backyard cookouts are fun for the whole family, they can also come with hidden dangers for pets. Here are a few quick summer BBQ safety reminders:
• Keep pets away from hot grills and open flames
• Skip the hot dogs, ribs, onions, grapes, and corn cobs — many cookout foods can be dangerous for dogs
• Watch alcohol closely, especially unattended cups left low to the ground
• Secure trash lids because skewers, bones, and greasy leftovers can cause serious emergencies
• Make sure pets have access to fresh water and shade during the Tucson heat
Stay safe and enjoy your summer celebrations!
