The Golden Girl babies at 3 weeks! 🐱✨
This is the hardest age to photograph because they like to go “teddy.” 🧸
At this stage, kittens still have a strong instinct called the transport response. When their mom carries them by the scruff, they instinctively go limp, tuck their legs in, and stay very still to help her move them safely.
So when we pick them up, that same reflex kicks in—even though we’re not mom (and not carrying them by the scruff!).
It’s adorable… but also the HARDEST stage to photograph 😅
They don’t sit, they don’t pose—they just melt into your hands like tiny, floppy stuffed animals. It can take a while for them to relax enough to sit or for me to catch the moment!
This phase doesn’t last long (usually fading after 4–5 weeks), and then suddenly they’re wiggly, curious, and impossible in a completely different way.
We have a few looking for their families. All info on our website.
