I wish I would have snapped more photos, but get a load of these smiles! We had an awesome turn out for our fosters and friends! I can’t explain how grateful I am for everyone who showed up to help, handle dogs, and create such a nice group environment to work dogs in. Adoptable and adorable Shai, Max, and Bunny all say a huge thank you to the folks who volunteered to handle them through class today and give them a little extra special individual time and attention. I love what this is doing to bring dogs and people together already. Looking forward to the next one!

I’m getting started on New Year’s resolutions early, because I gotta ride the waves of motivation when they’re here. Before Christmas I slapped together a group training event to bring together some clients, training colleagues, and rescue volunteers. The rough goal is to create an on going CGC class for the dogs in the rescue to give them opportunity to socialize with new handlers, get some time out and training in the world, and create opportunities to photograph and market our adoptables. The group class is going to be an opportunity to invite interested parties in to handle the dogs they’re interested in, give them some hands on handling experience in the process of searching for their new family member, and keep our pups active and exposed to new people and places in the process. If you are interested in getting involved in a volunteer capacity please reach out! I take dogs that struggle with behavior because someone didn’t do their research, and try to fulfill their undesirable behavior with a breed appropriate outlet. But yeah, puppers and doggos 😅

Join us at Catalina State Park on December 14 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for a fun afternoon of walking shelter dogs with the Pima Animal Care Center! It's a wonderful opportunity to get outside, enjoy nature, and give some love and enrichment to adoptable pets. 🐾

UPDATE: You all are amazing! We were flooded with donations and have plenty of towels for the weekend. If you have some towels to donate, please hang onto them until next week. We will likely need to refill our shelves after our event! :)

We’re gearing up for our annual Snip and Tip event this weekend where we’re hoping to fix more than 600 cats! With that many kitties, we’ll need plenty of towels for clean-up and to keep cats cozy and comfortable after surgery. If you have any spare or old towels at home, we would love to get them before the weekend!

Hello internet! Luna here checking in to let you know that cooler weather is coming and me and my friends can’t be happier about it. Less heat means more activities and we love to be active. Speaking of active… this social media page could use some more activity. Will you press all the buttons and do all the whatever the hecks to spread the word about all of us here at FLEABAGGS?

My rescue mom needs some help, but she’s not good at asking. She’s done a really good job of keeping these shade cloths up for the last few summers, but the wind loves to thrash them around and shred them up. Sometimes I like to help shred them up too when mom’s not looking but don’t tell!!

Maybe if we start getting some more donations we can get a more permanent shade structure so I can shred those cloths in peace! 🙊I mean… so my rescue humans can get some PEACE OF MIND knowing our precious paws are protected from the hot ground!! Of course that’s what I meant, duh!

Our rescue is working to make things nicer for us all the time. Something they call “quality of life”? Idk, I think my life is pretty good getting to run around the property bossing all the bunnies around, but I do have special food so my skin stays happy and healthy and I guess that also costs money. Yeesh. I think I’d bite the person who invented money if I wasn’t busy being such a good dog.

Anyways, press all the thingies and if you can help with some money just know it means more time for me to run around with my rescue family chasing rabbits! And digging holes! But DO NOT tell my rescue mom about that! I have valley fever and she thinks that’s how I got it! Yeah right!!

Wanted to share a “Hi! Thank you!” from our girl Bunny who visited her buddies at Ajo Veterinary Clinic for a check up to get up to date on vaccinations and get a shot to help with some seasonal allergies. Bunny is all healed up from her spay and thanks to recent donations we were able to check the last box on our list to get her ready for adoption. Bunny is a very cuddly and spunky young girl who would love a couch to snuggle with you and watch TV. We’d love to try her in a foster home to get some more info for potential adopters. Currently she’s crate trained and has been social with other dogs, but assertive in her corrections when the boy dogs get too sniffy. Would love to have a volunteer to take her through group class to get some more individual attention and interactions with new people.
