A recent message from Arizona Game and Fish Department reminds us just how important it is to keep pets up to date on their vaccines.

Important notice for dog owners! We've received an increased number of reports in recent weeks of sick or disoriented coyotes within residential neighborhoods, parks and green spaces.
Laboratory testing confirmed the diagnosis of canine distemper, a highly contagious and often fatal viral disease that affects the respiratory, gastrointestinal and nervous systems of both domestic and wild animals, primarily canids.
So how can you protect your pets?
-Keep pets up-to-date on vaccinations
-Avoid feeding or handling wildlife
-Supervise pets outdoors, especially near areas with wildlife

Are your pet's vaccines up to date? If you are not sure, call us, we will be happy to make an appointment for you to see one of our doctors to get these important vaccines.

If you need your pet spayed/neutered, vaccinated, or microchipped, you're in luck! Karen's Karing Van, our mobile medical unit, will be at Bullfrog Spas, 5919 E. Broadway Blvd, to provide FREE services on August 9!

AVAILABLE SERVICES:

We have 40 spots available for FREE SPAY/NEUTER on this date. Check in begins at 7 a.m., and large-breed female dogs and outdoor female cats are first priority. Other pets will be accepted based on availability.

We have 250 spots available for WELLNESS: Vaccines, microchips, and wellness exams. These are first-come, first-serve, and will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Vaccines provided will be FVRCP and rabies for cats and DHPP and rabies for dogs.

This event is for Pima County residents only. Cats should be in carriers and dogs should be on leash. There is no limit to the number of pets one person or family can bring, but please be aware that you will be waiting in line and only bring the number of animals you can safely handle in that scenario. Please plan to arrive early and wait in line.
