Happy Fourth of July Weekend Everyone!

Be sure to take care of your fur pets this weekend as we celebrate with fireworks and barbecue. Remember many pets become very anxious and scared during firework displays because of the loud sounds, flashing lights, and strong smells (such as burning).

Things you can do to help your pet:
1. Place them in indoors in a secure room and turn on the radio or tv.
2. Don't take your pet to any fireworks shows unless you know they are 100% unafraid.
3. Make sure all pets have visible and legible tags in case they get out the house.
4. Put your pet on a ThunderShirt, use calming supplements, and/or calming diffusers. https://thundershirt.com/products/thunderease-for-dogs-calming-spray
5. Keep pets away from grills, charcoal and sparklers.
6. Don't feed your pet table scraps.

Here are some summer safety tips to protect your furbabies in this Georgia heat!

1. Never leave your pet in the car.
(Temperatures are 30 degrees HIGHER in the car)

2. Limit your pet's exercise to early mornings and evenings.

3. Make sure your pet has plenty of water.

4. Don't rely on fans to cool your pet.

5. Kiddie pools are a great way for pets to cool down,
